Week 3.
WEEK 3 The past weekend has given people a lot to take in, and a lot to think about. You're permitted to stay at the resort all day on Sunday, should you so choose; relax and replenish yourselves with regards to sleep at least, seeing as it's much more comfortable than the routes or sleeping on the floor of the Pokémon Center. Commander Saturn is gone as of last night, and no one seems to be coming after you - though there is likely something you'll be aware of by the end of the day... Whatever happens, it's evident that you'll have to leave this place eventually, and Monday should find everyone back on Route 213. It's been repeatedly recommended to move toward Pastoria City; whether you believe the source of said urging to be trustworthy or not, it's still a good idea to move in that direction - a city means supplies, after all, a place to restock and spend a few days. Everyone should be able to find Pastoria City by Tuesday afternoon; it's another unfamiliar place, with various things to see and look at over the course of the next few days. It's far smaller than Veilstone, but it borders up to the ocean by way of a small jetty on the southeastern side of town with a few boats moored to it. Otherwise, it's surrounded by forest, and the main path winds its way lazily through town, weaving between personal residences and a few places of business. Of course, it's still not nearly as lively as it should be; the inhabitants here all seem as devoid of spirit as everywhere else; fortunately, a select few of your companions do seem to be perking up a bit - perhaps that's a good sign, in the end. POKEMON AVAILABLE: IN CITIES / NEAR WATER SUNDAY | MONDAY | TUESDAY | WEDNESDAY | THURSDAY | FRIDAY [OOC: Welcome to week three of Azume; feel free to make as many top levels as you'd like and tag out to other characters! This post is for all of your interactions this week... at least until the weekend. Don't forget that a write-up is due this weekend!] |

God. Kayneth has been trying so hard to be thrifty, but he doesn't entirely know how to be thrifty and also he has no idea how to translate his skills into... this. He starts out in the morning doing a little art in the Pokemon Center with his Frillish and Murkrow... well, Velasquez is at least putting down little diagonal patterns that might look like waves. Maybe. Huginn is just staring kind of blankly at a piece of paper and not exactly doing anything. Kayneth, meanwhile, is doing a nice little picture before he stops very suddenly and...]
What am I doing. No one's going to buy art in this godforsaken place.
[...but you know. He's got to think.
...
HMMMMMM. Actually, he does have an idea, given what the jobs might be in this world where Team Galactic's the only employer. So.
He heads to the outside of the Pokemon Center and puts up a sign that reads as follows:]
Math, Chemistry, and Physics Tutoring at Reasonable Rates
[There. He's probably got this. Probably. If anyone comes around.
...
please let someone come around.]
Pokemon Center
[They appreciating it is a different matter altogether, but Kiryu sure won't bring that up]

[Well, maybe]

And I mean, it's not like I'm going to sell out.

[Kazuma 'sometimes I'm careless with my money in the sidequests' Kiryu is now planning to buy art today even if he doesn't need it]

[He holds up what seems to be a very nice sketch of his Murkrow! It seems like there might be just a little bit of wishful thinking there, though, since it somehow looks a little more alive than the actual crow standing right there...]
Obviously, it's not done, but... it's shaping up nicely enough, I suppose.
no subject
Hm...good work. If these people won't appreciate it then I will, once it's finished. How much do you want?
no subject
[he looks really torn here, because...]
Well, the point is to get funds for us to continue our journey, right? Plus it's going to be harder to carry around.
no subject
[He hopes, at least]
no subject
Well, alright. It's not like I'm going to be able to sell it otherwise, so you can go ahead and have it, then. Pay what you'd like for it.
no subject
[Kiryu piles 3000 Pokedollars. He's not sure how much he should pay for art, but when you're supporting talent you have to be generous.
Is this generous? He hopes it is. Kiryu doesn't mention this is 3/4 of the money he had left]
This amount should make it worth your time.
no subject
Well, I can accept that, then. It seems reasonable.
[he still feels kind of awkward about it all? but uh....... he'll take it.]
no subject
How reasonable are these rates.]
no subject
So like, P600 per hour maybe?? Is that a good rate? He can at least buy a few Great Balls....!]

but you know what he's going to log this away as a Good Idea in the future. what's the general skill level he's gonna be seeing, anyhow? how good is the education in these parts.]
no subject
It's. It's an adventure.]
no subject
he's definitely going to be more enthusiastic teaching the kids who are so fucking here for college level physics at least[
no subject
Omigosh, I need to give you a name!
[...Linda...]
But I don't have the first clue what to call you... Something cute. But... hmmm... this is harder than I thought it would be.

... It's actually her Beldum, Miphanus, who is more curious here, breaking Zelda's sense of propriety to float closer to the Chatot and her with more obvious curiosity than you might've expected from a floating eye thing. ]
