Week 5.
WEEK 5 As of morning the next day, it seems the rain has stopped; with Azelf awakened and your newly-hatched companions by your side, it's possible that you're feeling a new sense of resolve regarding what needs to be done - and, perhaps more importantly, your ability to accomplish it. The device Maylene gave you certainly does seem to work; activating it will reveal a dark portal crackling with energy, shades of pink and purple swirling brightly around the outer edges, and those of you that walk through it will find yourselves quite suddenly standing somewhere else - there's grass beneath your feet and an unfamiliar city to the west, and the place you're standing seems raised up in some way; turning around once the portal has closed behind the last of you will reveal a massive bronze statue depicting a Pokémon of some sort, though what it is seems to be a little difficult to tell... The trip to Eterna City may leave you feeling a little dizzy and disoriented, and for a few uncomfortable moments you're likely very, very aware of your organs, but the effects will pass after a few moments and you'll soon feel right as rain. Of course, it'll likely become obvious very quickly that you aren't alone near that statue... Either way, it's a long journey up to Snowpoint City; you might want to take some time to make sure that you're prepared before you set off. It really does seem as though finding Azelf at Lake Valor has done the world some good, though, along with your combined effects on the world already; hopefully the Guardian at Lake Acuity in the north will be just as helpful... Uh, there was...three of them. Apparently they have something to do with emotions in this world, and Team Galactic was keeping them captive for experiments and stuff? They escaped about uh...
[He counts on his fingers the days they've been there and mentally starts goggling.] A month ago? And that's when we woke up - they did something when they escaped, or so Cynthia told us...
[Oh right. How'd they find him?]
R-right, Cynthia's this really strong trainer who looks like she's been fighting Team Galactic for a while now...she told us to go to Lake Valor, and we found Azelf there but he was super hurt and also all these ghosts were blocking its way, and also a member of Team Galactic but it was a hypnotized Gym Leader and somehow we managed to talk to her until she got a little less hypnotized...?
[that was a lot of information at once. anyways.]

So...we're not the only ones who're fighting against them. We should find her again--Cynthia, that is. So we can all go home as soon as possible.
[ though...he also makes note of the whole "month" thing. ] Can't believe you guys have been stuck here for over a month.

That's the thing, though...Cynthia told us to track down these three gods, so we're doing that. I think she's trying to deal with Cyrus herself head-on, or something?
[Did anyone actually explain to Keith who Cyrus himself specifically is?]
We might get in her way, so until we get those three gods back to good health, I'm not sure if it's a good idea to seek her out...
[Cynthia was...very, very insistent on that front.]

Cyrus? Is that the leader of Galactic?
[ ...hm. ] I'd say it'd be easier to have power in numbers, but she might be right. If battling here's dependent on us working with our Pokemon, then we're probably nowhere near the level she's at if she's been here a while.

That Galactic member we talked to, the one who's a former Gym Leader under hypnosis? A couple of us battled her, and she completely trounced us. If we hadn't managed to talk to her, I don't think we would have been able to help Azelf at all.
[He frowns while thinking about it.]
The Commanders have definitely got to be stronger than her if they managed to overwhelm her somehow, and Cynthia was able to threaten one of them - Saturn - enough to let us escape the town we woke up in...so if this guy is someone strong enough that Cynthia thinks she needs to handle alone, then we've definitely got a lot of work ahead of us...

I need to start training. [ he looks at his shinx, who's.
lying on the ground and rolling around. keith sighs. ] C'mon, Shinx. We've got work to do.
[ keith looks back at the other boy. ] Think you can show us where to start?

[He grins sheepishly.]
We need to get you supplies at the store - stuff like Pokeballs and food and equipment for your Pokemon...and some of us have been doing different things to train our Pokemon. I think some of them have been teaching them martial arts and stuff? And other people have been reading up books on their strengths and weaknesses. So if you ask around, I think you can get a lot of different ideas from everyone...

Not sure how I'm supposed to teach this [ he gestures to his shinx. ] martial arts, but I guess I'll need some way to get money first.

The townspeople are...really weird, since they're emotionless, but they still will help you out if you ask.
