Week 5.

WEEK 5 As of morning the next day, it seems the rain has stopped; with Azelf awakened and your newly-hatched companions by your side, it's possible that you're feeling a new sense of resolve regarding what needs to be done - and, perhaps more importantly, your ability to accomplish it. The device Maylene gave you certainly does seem to work; activating it will reveal a dark portal crackling with energy, shades of pink and purple swirling brightly around the outer edges, and those of you that walk through it will find yourselves quite suddenly standing somewhere else - there's grass beneath your feet and an unfamiliar city to the west, and the place you're standing seems raised up in some way; turning around once the portal has closed behind the last of you will reveal a massive bronze statue depicting a Pokémon of some sort, though what it is seems to be a little difficult to tell... The trip to Eterna City may leave you feeling a little dizzy and disoriented, and for a few uncomfortable moments you're likely very, very aware of your organs, but the effects will pass after a few moments and you'll soon feel right as rain. Of course, it'll likely become obvious very quickly that you aren't alone near that statue... Either way, it's a long journey up to Snowpoint City; you might want to take some time to make sure that you're prepared before you set off. It really does seem as though finding Azelf at Lake Valor has done the world some good, though, along with your combined effects on the world already; hopefully the Guardian at Lake Acuity in the north will be just as helpful... Honestly, I'm not sure when Keith and I were brought here. I'm just wondering why we woke up here, and not wherever or whenever you guys did.

...I'm afraid I don't have the answer to that.

Hopefully we'll find out why. 'Til then... I'm just glad to get out of this uniform.

[ He finds himself a much better outfit, then lightly taps his knuckles on Ignis's shoulder when he's done. ]

It's nothing. We were already going to take a bit of time to prepare and restock anyway, so there's no reason to thank me.

[Ignis brushed the idea off, waving a hand dismissively. This was basically his job, after all.]

But it's hardly something you need to do. You're worrying too much.

Can't I do something nice for my oldest friend? Seriously, Ignis, I want to.

Fine, alright. I've hardly any ability to stop you.

You sure can't. I'm going to get you a nice gift, and you'll have to accept it.

You're simply insufferable sometimes, I hope you realize that.

[ He laughs, bright and light and happy. ]

Would you have me any other way, Iggy?

Not a chance.

[No hesitation. As much as recent events had completely thrown him off and left him shaken...this was right. This was as 'right' as things could get, at the most fundamental of the very basic foundations of the world Ignis Scientia lived in.]

[He was with Noctis, and Noctis was happy. That was all he needed.]
