Week 5.

WEEK 5 As of morning the next day, it seems the rain has stopped; with Azelf awakened and your newly-hatched companions by your side, it's possible that you're feeling a new sense of resolve regarding what needs to be done - and, perhaps more importantly, your ability to accomplish it. The device Maylene gave you certainly does seem to work; activating it will reveal a dark portal crackling with energy, shades of pink and purple swirling brightly around the outer edges, and those of you that walk through it will find yourselves quite suddenly standing somewhere else - there's grass beneath your feet and an unfamiliar city to the west, and the place you're standing seems raised up in some way; turning around once the portal has closed behind the last of you will reveal a massive bronze statue depicting a Pokémon of some sort, though what it is seems to be a little difficult to tell... The trip to Eterna City may leave you feeling a little dizzy and disoriented, and for a few uncomfortable moments you're likely very, very aware of your organs, but the effects will pass after a few moments and you'll soon feel right as rain. Of course, it'll likely become obvious very quickly that you aren't alone near that statue... Either way, it's a long journey up to Snowpoint City; you might want to take some time to make sure that you're prepared before you set off. It really does seem as though finding Azelf at Lake Valor has done the world some good, though, along with your combined effects on the world already; hopefully the Guardian at Lake Acuity in the north will be just as helpful... [Good because Ignis gets someone he can trust, bad because he's now involved in this mess and also had been brainwashed until not too long ago. Are you the optimistic or the pessimistic kind, Ignis?]

It's good.

[There was very little hesitation there; yes, of course he was going to raise all kinds of hell with Team Galactic for even daring to pull something like that with him, and yet at the same time...this was a preferable outcome by miles.]

I'm grateful that he's here.

[takestheblame]

[If Ignis is glad Noctis is here, that makes Ignis the luckiest person in the group. What are the odds someone from the same world was here?

Was he with you the last night you remember before waking up in Veilstone?

[It may be a bit too many questions at once -- three in a row by now -- but yeah, Noctis being in this world raises a lot of possibilities, in Kiryu's opinion]

I was thinking you both were brought here because you were near each other. If there was someone else with you two, they may be in this world too.

...As reasonable a theory as that is, I'm not sure it's likely to be the case. And if it is...well, we'l just have to stay alert.

[Part of him hopes Ignis is right, and proximity had nothing to do with Noctis being here too. Less chances of someone Kiryu knows being here -- unlike Ignis, Kiryu thinks someone else from his world being here would be bad, especially if brainwashed]

Tell me about Noctis. Anything you want.

[Who better to tell what to expect of one of the two new guys than Ignis?]

He's a compassionate, caring person above all else. He always has been, even if he's a bit reserved in his emotions more often than not. And no doubt I'll have to pry him away from the first body of water we come across--he loves fishing, it's his favorite hobby next to sleeping too late in the morning.

...Also, he's a terrible driver. He'll tell you he isn't, but he is.

[takestheblame]

Not letting him anywhere near a steering wheel.

[It's heartwarming that Ignis has so much good things to say about him. Compassionate and caring...he'll get along with everyone just fine, then!]

Looks like we finally have someone to provide us with all the fish we want -- although maybe he won't be used to what's in here. I have heard rumors of dragons living underwater.

[Gyarados, he means]

I'm sure the fish here aren't quite what we're used to, but it'll be interesting to see what turns up. Let's...just hope he doesn't fish up a dragon.

[Had quite enough of those, really]

You think he'd know how to raise a fish? I'm a bit stuck with mine. Fishes aren't as easy to get a read on as other animals.

If anyone would be able to figure it out, I'd say it would be the self-proclaimed King of Fishing himself.

...King of Fishing. Did he actually call himself that?

[Kiryu doesn't sound judgmental, just curious. After all, he can't judge self-imposed titles when he likes the sound of 'Fastest in Kamurocho' when it's about his pocket circuit hobby]

...Well, not that I know of. But it sounds like the kind of thing he'd do.

I'm not going to miss the chance to give him that name if he hasn't taken it already. You get the credit.

[After talking to Ignis, Kiryu is looking forward to meeting Noctis face to face]

Oh, dear. You're going to land me in terrible trouble.

[Which....he didn't seem to mind, since Ignis was actually laughing under his breath.]
