Week 5.

WEEK 5

As of morning the next day, it seems the rain has stopped; with Azelf awakened and your newly-hatched companions by your side, it's possible that you're feeling a new sense of resolve regarding what needs to be done - and, perhaps more importantly, your ability to accomplish it.

The device Maylene gave you certainly does seem to work; activating it will reveal a dark portal crackling with energy, shades of pink and purple swirling brightly around the outer edges, and those of you that walk through it will find yourselves quite suddenly standing somewhere else - there's grass beneath your feet and an unfamiliar city to the west, and the place you're standing seems raised up in some way; turning around once the portal has closed behind the last of you will reveal a massive bronze statue depicting a Pokémon of some sort, though what it is seems to be a little difficult to tell...

The trip to Eterna City may leave you feeling a little dizzy and disoriented, and for a few uncomfortable moments you're likely very, very aware of your organs, but the effects will pass after a few moments and you'll soon feel right as rain.

Of course, it'll likely become obvious very quickly that you aren't alone near that statue...

Either way, it's a long journey up to Snowpoint City; you might want to take some time to make sure that you're prepared before you set off. It really does seem as though finding Azelf at Lake Valor has done the world some good, though, along with your combined effects on the world already; hopefully the Guardian at Lake Acuity in the north will be just as helpful...

CURRENT LOCATION: ETERNA CITY

eudaimonikos: (and I'm on that faded love)

[Michael giggles; this is about as unfortunate as he thought it’d be.]

Makes it a lot harder for the other Pokémon to hit. Unless they’re Quaver, he’s never had that problem for some reason...
hyruglyphics: (nearly at 50!!)

I could see how! It honestly reminds me of the Yiga's techniques...

[ She reaches out to pet Saber but she pets one of them which ends up being an after-image. Oops??? ]
eudaimonikos: (but I want to make yours come true)

[personal profile] eudaimonikos 2018-07-05 03:08 am (UTC)(link)
It’s convincing, isn’t it? I usually have Cat Janet kick some sand in their eyes right before she does it too, just to make things more difficult.

[of course he does]

She’s very fast, but not especially sturdy. Can’t tank a lot of hits. Not so much like Saber there.

hyruglyphics: (might be an idea)

[personal profile] hyruglyphics 2018-07-05 03:59 am (UTC)(link)
Oh, I hope she's not been injured so far!

[ That said, kicked sand in their eyes... oh...

That said, Saber stops double teaming and like yolo. ]
eudaimonikos: (please come through)

[personal profile] eudaimonikos 2018-07-05 04:02 am (UTC)(link)
Nothing too bad. I’ve backed off the wild ones before things get too dicey. Yours both seem to be doing better now?

[That was the first time he’s ever seen a Pokémon just totally eat dirt like that]
hyruglyphics: (tbh I think that)

[personal profile] hyruglyphics 2018-07-05 04:31 am (UTC)(link)
[ she looks to Saber and... Then Miphanus and, ]

You two are alright?

[ Saber just sort of looks blankly, but Miphanus attempts to emulate a nod without a head. ]

Maylene gave me a medicine they could eat that woke them up.
eudaimonikos: (fear and trembling)

Sounds useful. We should see if we can get some before we leave here - it’ll be a while before we’re near another Center, and who knows what might happen?
hyruglyphics: (but will I fix all the)

They're fairly expensive, but they are in the mart here, I checked! They're called Revives.

[ fitting, right? ]
eudaimonikos: (as many times)

[personal profile] eudaimonikos 2018-07-07 10:59 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh, good! We've been good about not going overboard on wild Pokemon or each other up until now, but you know that Commander Jupiter will curbstomp us if we meet her. Better to be prepared.
hyruglyphics: (Frogs!!)

[personal profile] hyruglyphics 2018-07-08 11:13 pm (UTC)(link)
I know for certain I shall buy what I can afford! they cost over five times as much as Pokeballs, though.

[ Like damn, dude. ]
eudaimonikos: (the republic)

[personal profile] eudaimonikos 2018-07-08 11:28 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh, now there's price gouging? All the Pokemon Centers are free!

[is there socialized medicine here or not guys]
hyruglyphics: (I mean some look okay?)

[personal profile] hyruglyphics 2018-07-09 12:34 am (UTC)(link)
The potions cost money? As too have some other more specialized things I've seen like the Paralysis healing potion...

[ So...

Mobile items? ]
eudaimonikos: (no exit)

[personal profile] eudaimonikos 2018-07-09 12:40 am (UTC)(link)
They should make mobile versions of those healing machines. They aren't really all that large now, shouldn't be too hard to condense them down further with the Pokeball technology.
hyruglyphics: (Pi'll clean up some more)

[personal profile] hyruglyphics 2018-07-09 02:03 am (UTC)(link)
Well... in theory? I suppose that assumes if the underlying basis of them is the same.
