SENDOFF. For a Team Galactic stronghold, Eterna City is a lot more pleasant than it could have been. You've largely been left alone by the locals except for those which you've chosen to engage. and they all still seem rather blank and dead behind the eyes; that said, however, they seem a bit more...lively here than they have elsewhere. They notice you, and perhaps more telling they have vague interest in things - in pursuing things just because they can, and not because they have to. However, your time here is drawing to a close; it's time to leave, to head north to Snowpoint City - and it seems that some of those people that have noticed you have caught wind of your intentions. After all, it's very cold up there; can you really be sure you have enough supplies? Just outside the Pokémon Center the morning you set out, there are large baskets full of supplies waiting for you - warm jackets and blankets, first-aid kits with medication that can be used on humans, and a few potions and the like for your Pokémon as well. There isn't any indication of who left them, just notes reading "For Our Visitors" tacked onto them. There's also something odd along with them - a box with a different note, written in flowery script. "I thought you might appreciate these. - Cynthia" As for what's inside...well, you'll have to open it and see. [OOC: Welcome to the end of Week 5! The box Cynthia left you contains one of your submitted material regains, whichever you decide that one regain to be! The clan? [He definitely knows what the yakuza is but there's like five million things humans call "clan" so you're gonna have to specify.]

Yakuza. I used to be a high-ranking lieutenant in the largest yakuza organization in Kanto.

[He's definitely not mentioning he was the big leader for around 24 hours]

[Though true to Kiryu's instinct, Michael doesn't seem to be judging. He's got no room to.]

How'd that career change go?

Funny. People usually pinpoint me as a yakuza even if I'm not one anymore. [It's a refreshing change of pace that someone didn't take him for the type, hah!]

I was expelled. Took the blame for a crime a friend did. A lot of things happened from there on, I simply couldn't return afterwards.

[And he didn't really want to, anyway, but circumstances and the clans kept dragging him into their messes. That's pretty much the entirety of Kiryu's stories in the franchise, he gets involved in trouble all the time, hah!]

Huh. Well, you got out of it alive, that's a plus. It's funny...

[He fishes in a pocket for a moment and pulls out his own lapel pin, this one embossed with a thumbs-down logo.]

...I got something just like that? Do you think lapel pins from terrible organizations we used to belong to are just, like, a Team Galactic thing?

Doubt it. That also must be why we were chosen to be here -- because we already have experience as underlings in shady organizations.
