Week 7.

WEEK 7 After a week of nothing but snow, it's likely that the city is a welcome sight. The city proper is likewise blanketed in snow, but it's far shallower here, easily walked through; it's soft and powdery and unlikely to cause you to slip, the kind of snow small children and Pokémon might enjoy playing in if they're the sort to enjoy that kind of thing. And if they were capable of enjoying much, in the case of the children. That said, the people here are still in the mildly improved state you witnessed in Eterna; it isn't much, but it is improvement, and the world around you continues to change in other, smaller ways as well, so it isn't all for naught. The wild Pokémon here, however, seem to be experiencing something a little...different from what you've been seeing so far - specifically, the Shellos here seem a little hostile toward one another. Snowpoint City is separate from and parallel to the giant mountain you passed last week, and it's populated by both the blue and pink varieties; the different sorts...don't seem to like each other much. It isn't all-out warfare or anything, but there are definitely skirmishes and mounting tensions happening in slug culture here. Mediate if you choose, or just enjoy your time in the city. You've earned it, after last week. [Rey has similarly returned from training, and had noticed Kiryu puzzling over his latest Pokemon. Is that...]

Yeah. Triangle-shaped, you may have seen them around.

[To demonstrate, he nudges his new teammate forward. Say hi, Snorunt. Apparently he's not as spiritless as others, given how at least it looks up at Rey without command, but doesn't seem to go much further than that. Baby steps!]

[Woah!!! Rey will bend down to try and get eye-level with the Snorunt, not bothering to hide her enthusiasm.]

So that's what they look like up close! I think I spotted a few from a distance when we were traveling here, but I didn't get a chance to see what they really look like.

[That, and she was too busy Suffering due to the cold, but you know]

They're only an Ice-type, aren't they?

That's correct. [Kiryu reads the pamphlet a bit more] Although females can turn into part Ghost-type, with the right evolving stone. Not sure how that works but alright.

[Nodding along, Rey rises to her feet and starts to dig through her backpack.]

Froslass. You'll need a Dawn stone if you want it. Do you know if yours is female?

[takestheblame]

I think she is. That's what the attendant here said. [Froslass...it's a bit weird he'll get a ghost of his own if he uses a Dawn stone] Since she wasn't a Ghost-type from the start that means this can't be one of those that used to be human, I think...

[He seriously hopes so, because after everything Michael and Jupiter said, he sure doesn't want a ghost that used to be a person]
