Week 7.

WEEK 7 After a week of nothing but snow, it's likely that the city is a welcome sight. The city proper is likewise blanketed in snow, but it's far shallower here, easily walked through; it's soft and powdery and unlikely to cause you to slip, the kind of snow small children and Pokémon might enjoy playing in if they're the sort to enjoy that kind of thing. And if they were capable of enjoying much, in the case of the children. That said, the people here are still in the mildly improved state you witnessed in Eterna; it isn't much, but it is improvement, and the world around you continues to change in other, smaller ways as well, so it isn't all for naught. The wild Pokémon here, however, seem to be experiencing something a little...different from what you've been seeing so far - specifically, the Shellos here seem a little hostile toward one another. Snowpoint City is separate from and parallel to the giant mountain you passed last week, and it's populated by both the blue and pink varieties; the different sorts...don't seem to like each other much. It isn't all-out warfare or anything, but there are definitely skirmishes and mounting tensions happening in slug culture here. Mediate if you choose, or just enjoy your time in the city. You've earned it, after last week. They definitely are. I've been travelling with some of them; it's been a blast.

What're they like? I feel like someone who hunts monsters for a living has to be the adventurous sort.

That'd be Karol. He's... Well, he was actually kind of cowardly at first. He was with the monster hunters, but they ditched him in Halure, so he ended up tagging along with us. He's a good kid, he'll make a great leader someday. He's the boss of Brave Vesperia - my guild. It was his idea to make a guild, and he's been good about coming up with the rules and figuring out how to handle jobs and all that. Good head on his shoulders, and over time he's learned how to overcome his fears. He single-handedly saved us from a giant monster once.

[He sounds so proud...]

[Bucky looks so incredibly enthralled about all of this.]

Man, I'd like to meet him. There's nothing like that on Earth. On other planets, probably, but I don't think I could ever permanently leave Earth.

[fatalstrikes]

Planets... Rey mentioned something like that when we first met. You're talking about traveling through space?

[He points upward to indicate the sky. His world doesn't even have air travel (outside of his flying catfish) so uh.]

Yeah, that's right. I've never done it myself, we don't exactly have the technology to do it on Earth, but other people can do it.

I can fly a jet and a helicopter; I bet I could fly a spaceship.

What are a jet and a helicopter?

[That sounds pretty impressive, honestly...]

Flying machines.

Jets can fly higher than helicopters, and are usually a lot bigger, they can go fast and fly a lot higher. Helicopters are slower, and have a propeller on the top that spins to create lift.

[pretend i know what i'm talking about, idk the difference]

I like flying jets more.
