Week 7.

WEEK 7 After a week of nothing but snow, it's likely that the city is a welcome sight. The city proper is likewise blanketed in snow, but it's far shallower here, easily walked through; it's soft and powdery and unlikely to cause you to slip, the kind of snow small children and Pokémon might enjoy playing in if they're the sort to enjoy that kind of thing. And if they were capable of enjoying much, in the case of the children. That said, the people here are still in the mildly improved state you witnessed in Eterna; it isn't much, but it is improvement, and the world around you continues to change in other, smaller ways as well, so it isn't all for naught. The wild Pokémon here, however, seem to be experiencing something a little...different from what you've been seeing so far - specifically, the Shellos here seem a little hostile toward one another. Snowpoint City is separate from and parallel to the giant mountain you passed last week, and it's populated by both the blue and pink varieties; the different sorts...don't seem to like each other much. It isn't all-out warfare or anything, but there are definitely skirmishes and mounting tensions happening in slug culture here. Mediate if you choose, or just enjoy your time in the city. You've earned it, after last week. I dunno, it's convenient. It's just that you guys don't have commercial space travel.

There's some humans working on it in my world, but just eccentric billionaires. You know the type. At most, they'll just go up there and jet around with their rich buddies.

Guess if there's nowhere they've settled up there, there wouldn't be much of a point, huh?

Nah. Just another extravagant way for them to piss away their fortunes. They'll probably experience some kind of space-related torture later on.

That sounds a little more than slightly disturbing.

Never worked on any of that, myself. Last design project I did before making Architect was flesh-rending lightning!

Okay, that aside, Archiwhatsis?

Architect. It's a fairly high-level role - they design the specific torture chambers for groups of humans.

You guys are disturbing, but who knew you were that well-organized?

[Michael leans forward a little, smiling.]

Bureaucracy is hell, Chelsea.

Is anything where you come from just a figure of speech?

Nothing's coming to mind at the moment...give me an example.

What, like an actual train to the afterlife?

More like between different sections of the afterlife. The neighborhoods that Architects make are all in their own separate pocket realities - [He holds up a hand.] - it's not a real train, per se, but it looks like one.
