Week 7.

WEEK 7 After a week of nothing but snow, it's likely that the city is a welcome sight. The city proper is likewise blanketed in snow, but it's far shallower here, easily walked through; it's soft and powdery and unlikely to cause you to slip, the kind of snow small children and Pokémon might enjoy playing in if they're the sort to enjoy that kind of thing. And if they were capable of enjoying much, in the case of the children. That said, the people here are still in the mildly improved state you witnessed in Eterna; it isn't much, but it is improvement, and the world around you continues to change in other, smaller ways as well, so it isn't all for naught. The wild Pokémon here, however, seem to be experiencing something a little...different from what you've been seeing so far - specifically, the Shellos here seem a little hostile toward one another. Snowpoint City is separate from and parallel to the giant mountain you passed last week, and it's populated by both the blue and pink varieties; the different sorts...don't seem to like each other much. It isn't all-out warfare or anything, but there are definitely skirmishes and mounting tensions happening in slug culture here. Mediate if you choose, or just enjoy your time in the city. You've earned it, after last week. She's changed a little over time now, she has an interest in a little more than food.

[Sunflower grumps and starts building a new pile.]

For one, she licks other things now... I think it might be a greeting, or perhaps a way to gain perspective?

[ After all her tongue does seem to be her strongest sense!! And muscle. ]

And doesn't try to eat them? Just checking.

Only sometimes.

[ A bit sheepishly. ]

Guess she's fallen into a habit. Better than Sunflower turning all stubborn and rude.

[Hmph, goes the Munchlax. He heard that.]

Sorry! But it's kinda true...

That's probably overstating things, isn't it?

[ As if to prove the point, Zelda smiles and couches down next to the Muchlax!! You can't be too bad, right? ]

[Sunflower looks up at her for a second, waves, and keeps on piling up snow.]

Maybe, but he keeps on not wanting to listen to me. I can't be that bad of a trainer, can I?

He may simply be rebellious...?

[ to be fair, Saber sort of acts first and apologizes later... or well, not even apologizes. ]

I guess. [sigh] Teenage rebellion or something?

Miphanus has also grown far more curious about everything. Even now, I think they're off investigating the shellos around town.

[niceoppai]

Yeah, why are the Shellos fighting each other now, anyway? Can't just be normal battles like we saw before with those others.

[hyruglyphics]

I've been trying to look into their nests... Miphanus as well. I wonder if perhaps they are worried about their territory.

[ She shrugs. ]

[niceoppai]

Maybe. I read that different colours of Shellos are native to different areas. Y'know, the dumbbell model -- populations growing differently when they're separated. So it's weird that a place would have both. That's probably why they're picking fights. Something might've driven one colony out of their home and they moved in here, disturbing the other.

[hyruglyphics]

I had read that as well, actually, and that's why I wanted to find their nests!

[ Huuuh ]

And find out what it is that made the one kind move in here with the others?

[hyruglyphics]

If I am able to deduce that, yes.
