Test 5.
VERITY The journey this month has been easier on you in several ways; despite your losses, your numbers have been bolstered by the addition of two more this month, and unlike the unforgiving terrain on the way to Lake Acuity the routes to Lake Verity seem downright hospitable - they're straightforward, the climate is far more temperate, and there are patches of cheer visible here and there along the paths in the form of those brightly-colored flowers, even as you make your way toward the lakefront. But the lakefront itself is perhaps unsettlingly silent; a reminder, perhaps, of what you're here to do, of the importance of your task. You'll reach the lake sometime in the evening. The sun isn't down yet, but it looks as though it won't be too long before it dips below the horizon; there's more than enough light for you to see what the lake itself looks like, however - the water is still and clear, to an extent where you can see straight down to the bottom regardless of how deep it gets. There's no bridge or other way to cross over the lake that you can see, but once again there's a large rock formation rising out of the center of the lake and a good-sized opening in the stone, leading to what's likely a system of caverns further inside. Your exploration starts here, next to the crystal clear waters of Lake Verity; what happens next is up to you. |

Um...maybe this guy could teleport us to the middle?
[Ah right. The Abra.]

Can it teleport others?

[Sena looks down at the Abra in his arms, who's presumably been aware of all this despite being asleep.] Do you think you could take us over the-
[SNAP. suddenly, sena is Gone. His other Pokemon (sans Shell, who is just kinda...floating...there...) yelp in alarm.]

Sena?!

Wait, let's not get ahead of ourselves. Rin is far more excited about the prospect of a pokemon teleporting than she was about that weird device, so let's check the other side of Lake Verity first! Rin puts a hand over her eyes to shade them from the sun, squinting.]
Can you see him?
[Asked to anyone in the general area. Did they make it?]

UH
Mildly alarmed, Eustace looks toward the structure in the middle of the lake. Did the two end up over there??]
no subject
I-I'm fine-!
[That came out a little feebly, but he seems fine.
Fine enough to scream at finding a Magikarp inside his shirt and flail around throwing it back in the water, anyway.]

At least Sena's not lost to the void or something.]

[did you say warm up? the Abra's gonna teleport out of Sena's arms, grab Monta, and snap back in a flash, Monta screaming all the way.
At least it didn't drop the monkey in the water this time?]

[ UUUUHHHH?????? ]

That answers that. You know you can do it, at least, once the kinks are worked out.

[Sena forlornly wrings out his shirt once the Magikarp is safely thrown back into the water.]
Th...that was a shock...

Unfortunately, Rin's already been drenched earlier by Highwind shaking off lake water on her like a wet dog; she's not interested in taking that a step further with a dunk in the lake. But she waited so long to see if Sena's Abra would be able to teleport that now most of the other rides have reached their capacity limit. She's running out of options here.]
Dammit. [Muttering to herself, Rin fetches a pokeball from her belt.] I should have claimed a spot on Ni when I had the chance. I really didn't want to do this, but...
[She'll just have to rely on her own team. Clicking the button of the pokeball, what comes out from it is... Ta-da! Rotom is here!]
Hey, you. [Rin points across the lake.] Make yourself useful and float me across.
[The floating lawnmower spins about in the air, a devilish look in its eyes. Gasp! Are my ears deceiving me, Rin? You've called on me? You need me?
Trying to look dignified, Rin yanks down hard on its handlebar to get it closer to the ground, where she can climb to stand on its body.]
Drop me and you'll get it.
[The lawnmower cackles in delight, MAD DELIGHT. Once its trainer has her feet firmly planted on its hull and holding on to the handlebar behind her, the Rotom adjusts its weight and makes to levitate again as Rin does her best to keep composed, and not think about how ridiculous this must look.
Off they go! Wheeeee~]
