Week 1.

WEEK 1. As Cynthia had promised, the sun does indeed rise the next morning. Whether you slept or not (and sleeping inside the Pokémon Center you were in before seems totally fine by the attendant), it seems Cynthia kept her word; she left sometime shortly before sunrise, and you haven't been bothered by Team Galactic and those that work for it in the interim. It isn't advisable to return to the headquarters building, however. At least not for the time being. However, a new day does dawn, and with it comes the knowledge that you're in an unfamiliar city, completely on your own. There are several things to be done before you can leave: gathering supplies and provisions, finding maps, obtaining new clothes... Of course, your new "companions" are still with you, and they don't seem willing to leave your side; they'll follow you dutifully, but they still seem...wrong, horribly so, and it doesn't seem to be wearing off. Maybe if you work with them a little...? Try to talk to them, train them, teach them to do things... Who knows? It might do them some good. [He sits up a little at that.] It was actually a little hard to get her to eat that. I wasn't sure if it was because she wasn't hungry, or because she just generally lacks the will to live.

[That gives him pause for a moment, it seems, before he just kind of...sets the pen down.

She can be a terror when she's riled up. She's a genius and she's used to everyone treating her with respect, so I can't say she'd appreciate being whisked away to a world without blastia. She probably wouldn't be too happy with Roc either. She's not a big fan of dogs.

[It's okay, she tolerates Repede now??]

They must be some very interesting people, to accept living in a place like this without even being the almighty god-king of it.

[Vague sarcastic gesture around "almighty god-king"]

[Camilla pauses for a little bit at that, honestly. The whole situation is stressful, but...

No, she shouldn't think about that right now. She'll speak up before the silence becomes anymore awkward.]

It absolutely counts. You would be surprised about how many people can be utterly abysmal at something like that. [Oh, the stories she could tell...] I have always found sewing and embroidery to be rather relaxing things to do. It requires so much of your focus, so your mind isn't allowed to wander.

[She's gonna go plucking through some of her fabrics, holding up swatches to Roc. Mostly trying to decide what color would go well with her...]

It'd be nice not to have to worry about them, but it sounds a bit boring... What would you do if you don't have any tough monsters to look forward to fighting?

It's not something I'd really thought about...? But there's everything you're talking about, and Rey is...she kinda talks like an entire planet is just one mass of people, you know? So I guess the world I'm from is pretty big by comparison, yeah.

I can't imagine what's going through their heads. Agreeing to live in a world like this...

[Yuri shakes his head.]

Well, I'm sure we'll learn more about everyone here in time.

People have unsavory customs all the time. Like underpaying waitstaff, or being from Florida.

[He doesn't even necessarily think the Pokeballs are bad, he's just

We could simply be in a cooler region of the world too.

[ Like, just saying. That said, we're still collecting! Stuff!! ]

Yeah? Maybe I'll look into it. My mind's been wandering a lot lately, and it's not exactly going to great places.

[There are some things he really does need to sit down and think about, like Cyrus and everything he's done to this world, but worrying nonstop about the people back home isn't helpful. He knows the other members of Brave Vesperia are very capable, and Rita and Estelle can look after themselves. There's also the old man, but he should be fine. But the Adephagos...]

So what prompted you to pick up sewing as a hobby?

[Roc is perfectly content to stand still and let Camilla do her thing, she'll occasionally glance over but otherwise the Rockruff doesn't move.]

Yeah. He's my best friend. He keeps rescuing me.

[He laughs, stooping down to pet the skiddo carefully.]

I owe him a lot.

That's crazy... I mean, I knew our worlds were different, but hearing that there's a world out there that's so huge... it's kind of mind-blowing.

Yes - it's the region just south of the great Hebra mountain range in the northwest of Hyrule. The climate's often quite chilly - I wore a winter coat when I went there, particularly when I went to the flight range.

[Apparently the loss of spirit extends to choices. It's not surprising, but it's still disappointing]

Would they even care what we give them? I doubt it.

[He's trying to picture it in his head, and failing.]

Yeah. Daigo's a kid I knew long ago. Using his father's name to get all he could, and asking me to take him to places kids shouldn't be at.

[And somehow he considered Kiryu a trustworthy adult and admired him. Kiryu has rather fond memories of Daigo]

He must be an adult now, it has been a decade since the last time I saw him.
