Week 1.

WEEK 1. As Cynthia had promised, the sun does indeed rise the next morning. Whether you slept or not (and sleeping inside the Pokémon Center you were in before seems totally fine by the attendant), it seems Cynthia kept her word; she left sometime shortly before sunrise, and you haven't been bothered by Team Galactic and those that work for it in the interim. It isn't advisable to return to the headquarters building, however. At least not for the time being. However, a new day does dawn, and with it comes the knowledge that you're in an unfamiliar city, completely on your own. There are several things to be done before you can leave: gathering supplies and provisions, finding maps, obtaining new clothes... Of course, your new "companions" are still with you, and they don't seem willing to leave your side; they'll follow you dutifully, but they still seem...wrong, horribly so, and it doesn't seem to be wearing off. Maybe if you work with them a little...? Try to talk to them, train them, teach them to do things... Who knows? It might do them some good. Of course, I apologize for making you wait. It's been quite some time since I've had prayer outside, and it was easy to get distracted. My name is Shirou Kotomine.

[ In a similar fashion, he folds his hands together loosely as he speaks. ]

I did not wish to interrupt you - it would be incredibly rude to do so.

[ She's done enough introductions now to know she needs to give her name, so... ]

[ A small nod, it's okay he's used to getting interrupted. ]

It's a pleasure to meet you Zelda, despite the circumstances. If anything is to come of this, I hope we can help each other and the creatures we were tasked with.

I am confident that we will - both each other, and the people of this world.

[ Hence her outburst at Cynthia last night. ]

[ Oh, that's surprising and oddly familiar. ]

I couldn't agree more. [ Idly, he reaches out to his Litleo to pet it once, apparently lost in thought. After a moment he smiles, refocusing on the young women in front of him. ]

Forgive me, but although we just met, you remind me of someone.

Do I...? I pray that the comparison is not a poor one.

[ Or at least not bad. That would be. A bummer. She wouldn't be hurt either way, or at least not much, but... ]

[hesychast]

...it is not. [ That odd pause aside, he continues. ] We are very similar, her and I. She is also a disciple of God, you see. But more than that, she always believed in the good of mankind and it's ability to work together.

[hyruglyphics]

[ She wonders, is that so strange for her to see things that way? She hums a little to herself, looking at the man but also past the man. She sort of wants to ask which god? But from the tone it seems weird to do that. So she holds her tongue for all of a moment before, ]

Then I am flattered by the comparison, Shirou, thank you. [ . . . ] For me, I have seen it - that in the face of great adversity, it is the cooperation of people which can overcome it.

[hesychast]

You're welcome. [ Whether the comparison will hold remains to be seen, but he looks to her with bright eyes and a muted smile. ]

Would be it that the world could be one where such trials and strife did not exist at all.

[hyruglyphics]

[ she nods, because honestly... yes? Yeah. ]

Yes, that would be a very blessed world indeed.

[hesychast]

[ He lets out a breath that could almost be mistaken for a laugh if it wasn't so soft. ]

One day. A true blessed world, and not the fake peace this land has been made to endure.

[hyruglyphics]

[ A soft sigh and, ]

I don't think this could be called peace at all, honestly.

[ Like... Mmm. ]

[hesychast]

It is a farce. Much the same like a world without life would be considered "peaceful".

[ They're in total agreement here, though Shirou's voice has an almost cold quality to it. ]

[hyruglyphics]

[ . . . uummmm ]

Honestly, I think most people want peace. There is no need for something as dramatic as this or ... well, that.

[hesychast]

[ Quietly: ]

Yes, of course. [ After a pause he smiles again, back to the soft, calm intonation he had before. ]

We must simply press forward and right what is wrong, no matter how difficult that may be. 

[hyruglyphics]

Certainly so. ... If this land has only Cynthia as a champion to fight against this nightmare, than we shall have to be her allies.

[ Regardless of what she wants!! Maybe!! She's fired up about it I guess. ]

[hesychast]

Indeed, though I pray that our number will grow in time. If just a few others can be woken up from their trance, it will be greatly beneficial to us.

I am certain it's possible. Perhaps we'll know more once we set off to Lake Valor.
