Week 1.

WEEK 1. As Cynthia had promised, the sun does indeed rise the next morning. Whether you slept or not (and sleeping inside the Pokémon Center you were in before seems totally fine by the attendant), it seems Cynthia kept her word; she left sometime shortly before sunrise, and you haven't been bothered by Team Galactic and those that work for it in the interim. It isn't advisable to return to the headquarters building, however. At least not for the time being. However, a new day does dawn, and with it comes the knowledge that you're in an unfamiliar city, completely on your own. There are several things to be done before you can leave: gathering supplies and provisions, finding maps, obtaining new clothes... Of course, your new "companions" are still with you, and they don't seem willing to leave your side; they'll follow you dutifully, but they still seem...wrong, horribly so, and it doesn't seem to be wearing off. Maybe if you work with them a little...? Try to talk to them, train them, teach them to do things... Who knows? It might do them some good. Ah, I'd nearly forgotten-...it may be prudent as well to share proper introductions. If we're to stay together as Cynthia suggested, it would be easier if we knew anything of our traveling partners.

[Ignis paused to adjust his sunglasses again.]

Since I suggested it, I'll begin. My name is Ignis Scientia; I'm thirty-two, my world is called Eos and I come from the kingdom of Lucis. My particular expertise lies in cooking and combat strategy, though I've a fair hand with survival in the wilderness when necessary. I'm...a hunter by trade, one who keeps my world's more dangerous wilderness from reaching the population.

[ She had introduced herself in some manner to almost everyone she thinks but... some sort of big formal one for the group, particularly if she helped call them is probably useful? Maybe? And as such, she'll add on her own. ]

My name is Zelda, and I am the princess of Hyrule. [ That's... something? ] I am seventeen years old, [ more or less ] and my passion and talents lie in scholarship. Were we in the wilds of Hyrule, I am confident I could identify the properties of any plant or animal we came across. But here, I shall do my best. Either way, you needn't be concerned I will fall behind.

[ Well. ... She may as well share her findings ]

On Monday, I spoke to many people in town, knocking on the doors of almost every house with intention to stay with one of them. However, over time, I realized several oddities, and chose to make it a study.

[ . . . ]

I concluded a few things, and they all alarm and disgust me. To begin with, almost every house in this city was able to offer mer a spare bed. You must also have noticed how the shops seem to be lacking in staff for their size, and that few people are on the streets. ... Based on the words for one man, I suspect that those who feel anything are sent to that Team Galactic building for reeducation.

[ She frowns deeper, but presses on ]

I was told that those who need it go to that building, and that it "gives them purpose," and "cures them as imperfections." Imperfections that include happiness itself.

[ As she says this, she's trembling with an uneasy feeling and rage in almost equal measure. ]

To be chosen to go there is an honor... apparently.

[ . . . THERE SHE SAID IT. ]

Hello! My name is Aya Maruyama. I'm seventeen, and I'm from Tokyo - that's in the Kanto region of Japan, on Earth. I really love music, and I sing in a band called Pastel*Palettes. It's a band made up of idols.

I also like to cook, I love fashion and photography, and I sew!

I get nervous sometimes, but I'll do my best while I'm here. That means learning from everyone else, so I'll be looking forward to it.

If it's true that we have been here for some time...is it perhaps plausible that we came here at an earlier time and were apprehended by Team Galactic, deprived of both memory and emotion in whatever twisted process they're using?

It don't know, I only know what I could guess based upon that conversation.

Wow, that's great! I'm Chelsea Moore, and I'm 24! I used to be a police detective, but very recently, I became a federal inspector's assistant! She's hard to keep up with for sure, but it's a lot of good work, you know? My special talent is my memory! That and making friends at parties ♥

[Yuri is sitting on the floor. There are perfectly good chairs, but nope, he's on the floor with his Rockruff.]

My name's Yuri Lowell. I'm twenty-one and the place I'm from is called Terca Lumireis. Specifically, I'm from the city of Zaphias. I've seen a lot of the world though, since I ended up traveling with a group of people. I'm a member of the guild Brave Vesperia and my talents include fighting and cooking.

I can't say exactly how useful I'll be without monsters to fight, but I should be able to keep up.

Yeah. The monsters vary depending on region, so there's a lot of 'em to keep track of. It's kind of fun, in a way.

Greetings, everyone. I am Shirou Kotomine, a priest in service to the Catholic Church. I understand that we may be of different faiths, but if you ever need an ear to listen, you have mine. My current station before arriving here was in Romania, though I have traveled on pilgrimmages and the like. While I hope violence would not be necessary, I do possess some basic combat training should the need arise.

[ Did he forget his age or did he omit it on purpose? Who knows, though he speaks with confidence and a warm smile despite his youthful appearance. ]

[Eustace sees the benefits to a group introduction, but that doesn't stop him from trying to get through his quickly.]

Eustace. Twenty-eight. My world comprises a series of skydoms- regions of islands in the sky. My work varies, but usually involves hunting, combat, investigation and strategy. Not far off from Ignis's in some ways.

It is kind of weird that everything's in the store, and that there's only one store. But I guess they don't really need more than one with the way they are now...

So did the chosen hero save the day? Did he complete all their tasks and everything?

Well, all right. I am Lord Kayneth El-Melloi Archibald, and I’m thirty-four.

[...hmm. He’s wondering how open he should be about the magic thing. It seems like it might actually be more detrimental to keep it a secret in this situation, but he wants to talk about it with the other magus first... so he’ll go forward with some technical truths.]

I’m a university professor in London, England, and my world is called Earth. I’ll confess that I’m not exactly an outdoorsman, but I’ve got a wide breadth of experience in various areas of study, including chemistry, archaeology and mythology, which ought to be helpful considering what we’re dealing with.

[ At that, she smiles warmly. ]

He did, he managed to do everything which was asked of him.

[Right, introductions. Kiryu hesitates for a moment. No way he's introducing himself as yakuza, even though until recently he was the fourth chairman of what may be the largest clan, he wants to leave that life behind. It's not for nothing he quit the same day he was named chairman]

I'm Kazuma Kiryu, thirty-seven, and I'm a real estate agent in Kamurocho, Japan. I live with my daughter. Never been out in the wilderness, I'm a city person through and through. I'd say I'm the best fighter in this group and I'm decent at a lot of things, so...if you need help you can count on me.

[He doesn't want to admit he was unemployed right now as he and his daughter were just adjusting to their new life. That'd just bring questions]

[Yuri's also checking out the building south of town, though he's made no move to enter it. As usual, his Rockruff is at his heels.]

You aren't thinking of leaving alone, are you?

[His voice is light and relaxed, though.]

Then how did we get to this world in the first place? I had thought Team Galatic were the ones to bring us here.

[It is a possibility everyone in this group had been here before their, hm, reeducation, though]

That's not too far off. [Aya laughs.]

I'm in a band, back at home, and I do hope singing will make people happy.

[Yuri just happens to be sitting nearby (he's got several books from the department store open in front of him like he was trying to study, but it doesn't look like he's made much progress) and he raises a hand as Aya walks by to catch her attention.]

Hey. Couldn't help but overhear your conversation with your partner. [He tips his head a bit to indicate the Audino.] You really think you'll be able to get her to sing?

[...Is Ichigo a girl? Well, that's what Yuri's assuming.]

It's only a guess of my own. I don't exactly have any evidence to back me up.
