Week 1.

WEEK 1. As Cynthia had promised, the sun does indeed rise the next morning. Whether you slept or not (and sleeping inside the Pokémon Center you were in before seems totally fine by the attendant), it seems Cynthia kept her word; she left sometime shortly before sunrise, and you haven't been bothered by Team Galactic and those that work for it in the interim. It isn't advisable to return to the headquarters building, however. At least not for the time being. However, a new day does dawn, and with it comes the knowledge that you're in an unfamiliar city, completely on your own. There are several things to be done before you can leave: gathering supplies and provisions, finding maps, obtaining new clothes... Of course, your new "companions" are still with you, and they don't seem willing to leave your side; they'll follow you dutifully, but they still seem...wrong, horribly so, and it doesn't seem to be wearing off. Maybe if you work with them a little...? Try to talk to them, train them, teach them to do things... Who knows? It might do them some good. My name is Michael, and I'm a demon. I'm from...well, what we can reasonably refer to as Hell, and I'm an immortal being from the beginning of time, so, pretty old. As you can see, I have this human body, operates more or less like yours...

[He shifts his weight, flexing his fingers as if to demonstrate that it does in fact work.]

I don't mind answering questions about all that, but I really can't say if your universes work the same way as mine does. Our afterlife only serves one Earth. Also, I'm personally opposed to the whole "torturing human souls for eternity" thing, so...don't @ me.

There's not a lot of "wilderness survival" involved in Hell, but I did go ahead and memorize all the books I could find, so you don't need to carry any field guides if you don't want to. [What else, what else...] Ah, and when I was an intern, I did a stint in the ten-headed spider-dog department, so if we run into any larger soulless creatures, I can help wrangle those.

He was in there obsessively writing these three phrases - some kind of proverbs, "a good deed for every day" and the like. [He waves a hand dismissively, human proverbs are silly.] I asked him about it, and he said that they were important to his daughter. She's gone now, and all he would say was that it was better that way. But...it looks like he spends a lot of time writing.

Also, has anyone else noticed that there's still some TV broadcasts going on? All health and wellness stuff, really creepy vibe.

Nah, more like I've never really lived anywhere. Not since I was a kid, anyway. Partially for work, partially because I like it that way.

Camilla actually almost seems mock offended for a moment before laughing, putting the blanket she's working on down so she can hide her expression behind one of her hands and chuckle.]

[It's pretty late at night that Camilla winds up almost bumping into Morag; she's mostly just out here giving the local Misdreavus population hell in order to train up her Deino, that follows ever dutifully behind her. She winds up seeing the woman almost a little too late, before she winds up jumping.]

Ah! Oh, pardon me. I didn't expect anyone else to be out this late...shouldn't you be getting some rest yourself?

Why is a demon named Michael, of all things. Shouldn’t you be named something like Forneus or Baal?
