Week 1.

WEEK 1. As Cynthia had promised, the sun does indeed rise the next morning. Whether you slept or not (and sleeping inside the Pokémon Center you were in before seems totally fine by the attendant), it seems Cynthia kept her word; she left sometime shortly before sunrise, and you haven't been bothered by Team Galactic and those that work for it in the interim. It isn't advisable to return to the headquarters building, however. At least not for the time being. However, a new day does dawn, and with it comes the knowledge that you're in an unfamiliar city, completely on your own. There are several things to be done before you can leave: gathering supplies and provisions, finding maps, obtaining new clothes... Of course, your new "companions" are still with you, and they don't seem willing to leave your side; they'll follow you dutifully, but they still seem...wrong, horribly so, and it doesn't seem to be wearing off. Maybe if you work with them a little...? Try to talk to them, train them, teach them to do things... Who knows? It might do them some good. [Alright, let's get this stuff started. Camilla's gotten...less used to shopping for her siblings, but this kind of stuff shouldn't be too hard. It's not like they're shopping for a war or anything like that.

She's definitely gonna be looking at some durable clothing for the trip, first...she's gonna pluck out a few coats of various colors, some shirts, some of this, some of that...]

You're going to want to be prepared for any sort of conditions...tell me, do you have any particular colors you like? I think that may help narrow everything down, and we can get you clothing you'll be happy to wear while being well prepared for what mother nature throws at us.

God, is it ethical to eat these Pokemon things? Are we supposed to hunt them? They're intelligent enough that I feel really questionable about it.

It's this... big information network, you can access it on these machines with screens called computers.

I can imagine. Things change so quickly, it's actually pretty impressive? It's really impressive.

It's not always for the best, but I've kinda gotten used to that.

I can't imagine winning tokens would be easy...especially if it's run by those guys.

[ He smiles a little at that and goes to plop down nearby them, because it's been a long day and he'd like to just sit too. ]

Well, no one can say you're not putting in any effort.

[ Ventus is not an avid reader himself, honestly, so he hasn't read through too many of the books lying around yet. But he has done enough to get some deets on his partner. Basic deets, but all the same. ]

Do you think yours might be some kind of rare Pokemon too?

[She tosses a ball at it, and even though she nearly fumbles it, it catches the Munchlax with zero resistance.]

There! I guess now I have to find stuff to feed it, but I'm sort of used to travelling companions who eat everything.

[ It is actually really cool to see the ball thrown right in front of her like this...? She laughs a little bit, and claps lightly for Chelsea. ]

Warehouse

[Kiryu had been exploring the outside of the warehouse, examining the place and looking for anything useful, when he finds Chelsea with a fainted Elekid]

Yeah, I doubt anyone'd say it's for the better, in my case. Unless you're asking the people who are making money off of it.

[Kiryu is so pleased the majority is eager to help the people of Sinnoh. Things are so nice when everyone is cooperating!]

You could take this as a chance to gather some interesting stuff for your home. Even if it's just to study and find out how to make more.

either way, now that that's settled, she goes to sit down, about as prim and neat as she can be while sitting on the ground. she leans over some—] Come, don't be shy. [—and the Bagon lingering awkwardly still behind her finally toddles over to sit next to her at her instruction. she...probably hasn't figured out how to put him back in the ball, tbh]

It's strange. Certainly, something terrible has happened to these people, but it would be so much easier to ignore us...and yet, they'll still help if asked. It isn't a kindness to be taken advantage of, of course, but it's still a kindness.

... I will certainly be trying to bring back the capsules Pokemon are captured within.

I don't know. Maybe? We can't really ask people who don't care about the ethics of anything right now.

[ Ventus kind of proudly rubs his nose at that with a grin when she says that -- of course they're close. Recently they had gone through hard times, but their bond would still remain no matter what. He firmly believed that was so. ]

Yeah, he is. I mean, both a good man and a good teacher -- he taught me a lot of things. Including how to defend myself and other people -- not only because one day I'd be out there on my own, but I wanted to learn how to like Terra and Aqua did. Plus, be able to help people out.

[ He remembered when Terra had let him use that wooden Keyblade that he made...some things will forever remain nostalgia even if he doesn't have it anymore. ]

...But now that I've told you about them, could you tell me a little about your siblings?

Oh, that one I've heard of.

[Because they have computer classes! Luckily for her she's from 2005 and they weren't mandatory, or that Straight-A record might have been in jeopardy. Rin rubs the back of her scalp along when her hair is bunched in a ponytail, wearing a disgruntled expression.]

Ugh, every time I turn my head they get more and more complicated. They should ease off on it!

They're charming little things, but nothing like I've seen before. [a thoughtful hum, then:] I do hope they come back to themselves soon.

I mean, they were kind of punched in the brain by God or something, weren't they? I know everyone's talking about fixing this place and that's great and all, but I don't know if that sort of thing's even possible.

I was completely fooled. This is so well done I thought you had done this many times before. [That's impressive, seriously] The only time I have done anything close to camping was in a park, in an improvised shelter made with plastic sheets. It'll be interesting to see what real camping is like.

Yeah, maybe. And the prize could just be joining them. Put like that, that's really creepy.
