Week 1.

WEEK 1.

As Cynthia had promised, the sun does indeed rise the next morning.

Whether you slept or not (and sleeping inside the Pokémon Center you were in before seems totally fine by the attendant), it seems Cynthia kept her word; she left sometime shortly before sunrise, and you haven't been bothered by Team Galactic and those that work for it in the interim.

It isn't advisable to return to the headquarters building, however. At least not for the time being.

However, a new day does dawn, and with it comes the knowledge that you're in an unfamiliar city, completely on your own. There are several things to be done before you can leave: gathering supplies and provisions, finding maps, obtaining new clothes...

Of course, your new "companions" are still with you, and they don't seem willing to leave your side; they'll follow you dutifully, but they still seem...wrong, horribly so, and it doesn't seem to be wearing off. Maybe if you work with them a little...? Try to talk to them, train them, teach them to do things... Who knows? It might do them some good.

CURRENT LOCATION: VEILSTONE CITY
POKEMON AVAILABLE: WITHIN CITIES

MONDAY | TUESDAY | WEDNESDAY | THURSDAY | FRIDAY
[OOC: Welcome to week one of Azume; feel free to make as many top levels as you'd like and tag out to other characters! This post is for all of your interactions this week... at least until the weekend. Don't forget that a write-up is due this weekend!

Feel free to investigate the city as you see fit this week; we ask only that you try to stagger investigations and be mindful of what's already been checked. If you wish to investigate, notify the mods in your comment subject for your top-level and we'll get on it as soon as possible!]

bloodspent: (03. you made a vow)

department store

[Jake's probably one of the last people that most would expect to see hitting the books, and honestly...most would be right; it doesn't really hold his interest for very long, he prefers to learn by doing as opposed to reading. But you know what, he's in this store and just kind of doing nothing in particular, he's dressed like a fucking delinquent (without the hat or anything covering his face) but the look is a little offset by the fact that he's carrying his Scraggy around on his hip like one would a worn-out toddler.]

Assuming you're talking about this Cyrus guy - there's nothing about him at all?

[Like, he gets the lack of statues and shit, maybe, but...]
enjoymyatelier: i am just done with this shit (ugh whatever)

[personal profile] enjoymyatelier 2018-06-04 11:52 pm (UTC)(link)
[...he'll keep his comments on fashion to himself...]

Not at all. It's downright bizarre. I imagine that we might be able to find something out from those Team Galactic people, but I have no intention of dealing with them any more than I have to.

Yeah, talking to them doesn't seem like the best idea. I dunno how willing they'd be to just hand out information on their boss, anyway.

[...]

Though, I dunno if they're keeping information out of the books for a reason, or if it's just a matter of "What sort of dumbass wouldn't know?", you know what I mean? People tend to get kinda infamous once they try fucking up the world.
enjoymyatelier: GIVE ME THE COMMAND SEAL RISEI (all i hear is "blah blah blah")

Maybe... or it could've been some sort of false modesty on his part. Something like... oh, I'm so above recognition. I transcend acknowledgement. Look at how enlightened I am. You too could become enlightened by sacrificing your soul for four easy payments of 20 pounds.
bloodspent: (04. never get mad)

[...]

Why the fuck are people with god complexes always so goddamn obnoxious? I get that you've gotta be up yourself just on principle, but come on.
enjoymyatelier: have fun storming the castle, kayneth (a totally honorable mage duel)

[personal profile] enjoymyatelier 2018-06-05 08:32 pm (UTC)(link)
Well, if you can believe anything about mythology, it's that actual gods tend to be a bit obnoxious themselves. There are a few that keep to themselves and don't cause trouble for anyone, but they're exception and not the rule.

So honestly? They fit right in.
bloodspent: (23. heavy as a feather)

[personal profile] bloodspent 2018-06-05 11:53 pm (UTC)(link)
Yeah? You talk to a lot of actual gods, old man?

[He doesn't sound like he's saying it pejoratively, weirdly enough. More like he's not sure what else to call you, and that like sounds as good a thing as any - the same sort of way most people would use "hey, you."]
enjoymyatelier: god damn it is hard to be polite here. (you are straining the limits of my class)

[personal profile] enjoymyatelier 2018-06-06 03:14 am (UTC)(link)
...look, how old even are you? I'm thirty-four...

[...but anyway.]

Anyway, I've just studied a lot of mythology, that's all. I wouldn't pass up the chance if it was offered, of course, provided there was something in place to keep them from killing me on a whim.

Who knows, maybe you'll get your chance pretty soon. What with the lake things and all.

[...]

And I'm twenty. You want me to call you something else, give me something to call you.
enjoymyatelier: just imagine the crossed arms and this is von karma as balls (are you cross examining a parrot)

[personal profile] enjoymyatelier 2018-06-06 05:05 pm (UTC)(link)
That will be exciting, won't it? I'm not entirely sure what to expect, but it's going to be an interesting experience regardless of what happens.

[...oh, so the age of some of his students. well alright he kind of gets it. college aged kids are weird about age.]

...Call me Lord El-Melloi. That's what I'm used to, anyway.
