Week 1.
WEEK 1. As Cynthia had promised, the sun does indeed rise the next morning. Whether you slept or not (and sleeping inside the Pokรฉmon Center you were in before seems totally fine by the attendant), it seems Cynthia kept her word; she left sometime shortly before sunrise, and you haven't been bothered by Team Galactic and those that work for it in the interim. It isn't advisable to return to the headquarters building, however. At least not for the time being. However, a new day does dawn, and with it comes the knowledge that you're in an unfamiliar city, completely on your own. There are several things to be done before you can leave: gathering supplies and provisions, finding maps, obtaining new clothes... Of course, your new "companions" are still with you, and they don't seem willing to leave your side; they'll follow you dutifully, but they still seem...wrong, horribly so, and it doesn't seem to be wearing off. Maybe if you work with them a little...? Try to talk to them, train them, teach them to do things... Who knows? It might do them some good. POKEMON AVAILABLE: WITHIN CITIES MONDAY | TUESDAY | WEDNESDAY | THURSDAY | FRIDAY [OOC: Welcome to week one of Azume; feel free to make as many top levels as you'd like and tag out to other characters! This post is for all of your interactions this week... at least until the weekend. Don't forget that a write-up is due this weekend! Feel free to investigate the city as you see fit this week; we ask only that you try to stagger investigations and be mindful of what's already been checked. If you wish to investigate, notify the mods in your comment subject for your top-level and we'll get on it as soon as possible!] |

That said, Jake's wandering around dressed like a goddamn delinquent, though he doesn't have anything covering his face, and he's carrying his Scraggy around like one would a worn-out toddler, and this whole situation is bizarre but you know what, he's not really helping.
He'll come over when she beckons, though; he doesn't seem to get why, but- ]
Oh - yeah, sure, but I'm not gonna guarantee he'll be too much help.
[He'll set the lizard down, though; it just kind of stares at her, as these things do.]

[Some people do sane things with their time, and this is at least better than most people's hobbies. Hobbies that people here...don't seem to have...
Anyway! Camilla's going to saunter right over and crouch down to the Scraggy's height with her measuring tape...he's only a little bit shorted than her Deino, and she seems pleased once she gets the height and width measurements done with a smile.]
He's absolutely precious...he'd likely only need something on the smaller side, like sweet little Arion. I don't suppose you'd mind if I made something for your partner, do you?
[She looks like she's still trying to decide what she wants to do, but she does seem inspired, if nothing else. A scarf, a blanket of it's own? Maybe a little coat to match with his trainer a bit...]

I don't mind if he doesn't, and I'm pretty sure he's the farthest thing from minding right now. Knock yourself out.
no subject
[Yes, good.
Camilla's gonna go pick between a few different fabrics--she didn't find too much to work with, and she'll likely have to go tomorrow to try to find some better colors, but she does at least have the same sort of dull blue as the coat he's got. She'll have to see if she can find some red at some point tomorrow.
Anyway, let's just start cutting this fabric into the shape needed...]
I trust that the city hasn't been plaguing you with any troubles, has it?
no subject
[Y'all are pretty fucking bizarre, just saying.]
You seem to be doing all right yourself.

[...It's hard to tell whether she actually means that as sarcasm or not, but. Honestly, yeah. Some people are weird.
Those weird people are usually the fun people, granted, but--]
I'm simply doing what I can to adapt; that's all. It won't serve us any good if we stress ourselves out.
[...yeah, this is definitely a stress mechanism.]
no subject
[...I mean, in fairness, Sherry's weird too.]
Something on your mind, or is it just...everything?
no subject
[It's a blanket answer, at least, while she continues getting the fabric prepared. Her look's definitely a lot less sunny when she says it.]
Everything is possibly the best summation, however. This entire situation is dreadful, and it's made no better by the utter eeriness of these people. But...I'm also worried about my siblings, as well.
no subject
[He doesn't look uncomfortable, per se. Just like he's not sure what to do with that, in a way that implies he doesn't really relate.]
You got a bunch of 'em back home that rely on you, or...?
no subject
Most of us have grown to become rather capable soldiers on the battlefield, but Elise...she hasn't seen much fighting at all, and she relies on all of us rather heavily. Leo did too, until a few years ago. And...even my little Corrin has grown up so much, so shortly after being allowed outside of our home.
[...]
It's natural for an older sister to worry about her younger siblings, especially in such a hostile environment. Surely, it's understandable..?
no subject
[Jake, please - but, well, at least he's trying?]
I wouldn't really know, I guess - I don't have any siblings that I know of.
[That he knows of. Thanks, Dad.]

I take it that one of your parents has a habit of...spreading themselves rather thin, shall we say?
[That's about the nicest way she could put that, but man. She Gets It.]
no subject
I wouldn't know - I never met him.
no subject
[Oh. That's...awkward. Camilla's focus goes back to her project for the moment, kind of measuring what she's got so far against the little guy to see if it won't drag. It wouldn't be a good little mini-coat if it did.]
You have my condolences, if it matters at all.

If he warrants that sort of reaction, I'd be more than happy to take your word for it. He must be truly vile.
[Alright, let her make some adjustments here and there...Camilla takes another quick look at the coat Jake's got on just to get a better idea, before making a bit of an adjustment to the sleeves, and then...]
That should do it. I imagine this won't be trouble for you, little dear, but hold still for a moment, won't you?
[If there are no objections, she's going to try and put the coat on the Scraggy--and from the looks of it, it's a perfect fit! It's not as professional looking as his trainer's jacket, but...]
What do you think?
no subject
[...Jake, that's. Okay, sure.]
What do I owe you?
no subject
[Lookit him. That Scraggy's so mature now.]
And unless you have managed to find weaponry...you won't mind if I ask to hold the favor, will you? I simply can't think of a thing I would want for, at this time.
no subject
Until then, I can wait, yeah.
