Week 1.

WEEK 1. As Cynthia had promised, the sun does indeed rise the next morning. Whether you slept or not (and sleeping inside the Pokémon Center you were in before seems totally fine by the attendant), it seems Cynthia kept her word; she left sometime shortly before sunrise, and you haven't been bothered by Team Galactic and those that work for it in the interim. It isn't advisable to return to the headquarters building, however. At least not for the time being. However, a new day does dawn, and with it comes the knowledge that you're in an unfamiliar city, completely on your own. There are several things to be done before you can leave: gathering supplies and provisions, finding maps, obtaining new clothes... Of course, your new "companions" are still with you, and they don't seem willing to leave your side; they'll follow you dutifully, but they still seem...wrong, horribly so, and it doesn't seem to be wearing off. Maybe if you work with them a little...? Try to talk to them, train them, teach them to do things... Who knows? It might do them some good. Nothing of the sort, Ignis - you owe me nothing, for I said that I would assist you. ... Did you have some outfits picked out, or did you wish for me to choose for you?

I did find one that felt suitable, but then the whole problem of color occurred to me before I dared consider going much further with a spare or two.

[He led her over to a nearby rack, briefly running his hand over it before coming up with where he'd left one such outfit.]

Do tell me it's not too brightly colored, at least.

The main color of the outfit is dark, worry not. The brightest color is a plum highlight around the edges of the jacket.

Well, that's certainly lucky. Black is Lucian standard, and I did tend to like purple. Off to a good start, then.

The favored color of your people is black?

For...some people, yes.

That hardly seems vibrant.

[ Look!! Blue is where its at if you're saving the world!! ]

The capital was always quite vibrant enough on its own. I found the tendency towards black quite a striking uniform, myself.

[ . . . A uniform, huh. ]

Alright, then do you wish to find other black outfits?

That would be helpful; one or two more might be enough to get by, presuming we don't have an unnecessarily long journey before encountering another town or outpost. It hardly needs to be solid black, either--I'm just comfortable in darker colors.

[Probably nothin'.]

Very well, I shall find something else fitting... or you mind find what feels right, and I shall find it's best color?

I think I can trust your judgment, if you're up to the task. The fate of the afternoon might hinge upon it, I caution you: does that sound like something you're prepared to handle?

Certainly! I have bore... substantially heavier burdens, before. [ She ends that a little more sheepishly than she wanted. Ahwell. Still, she stands, and makes to go find navy blue things. ]

I suppose clothes for the weather ought to be prioritized... I wonder if down feathers are in any of these...

I'd be surprised if the majority weren't geared for the cold, with how the Galactic uniforms seem to be constructed. I presume either this world's climate is a colder one, or it's simply winter here.

We could simply be in a cooler region of the world too.

[ Like, just saying. That said, we're still collecting! Stuff!! ]

That's true enough...most of the Lucian continent was fairly warm year round, so for a moment I assumed the reverse to be true here. it's difficult to remember this world may yet run on entirely different logic.

I can tell you for certain that Hyrule has an abundance of different climates. I have yet to find a book to show a map of the region or world we are in now, though.

...That might be a problem, if we can't find a map available. We already barely know where we're going in the first place.

In truth, I might not have looked hard enough now.

That's alright. There's no need to rush and handle everything in a single day, after all.
