Week 1.
WEEK 1. As Cynthia had promised, the sun does indeed rise the next morning. Whether you slept or not (and sleeping inside the Pokémon Center you were in before seems totally fine by the attendant), it seems Cynthia kept her word; she left sometime shortly before sunrise, and you haven't been bothered by Team Galactic and those that work for it in the interim. It isn't advisable to return to the headquarters building, however. At least not for the time being. However, a new day does dawn, and with it comes the knowledge that you're in an unfamiliar city, completely on your own. There are several things to be done before you can leave: gathering supplies and provisions, finding maps, obtaining new clothes... Of course, your new "companions" are still with you, and they don't seem willing to leave your side; they'll follow you dutifully, but they still seem...wrong, horribly so, and it doesn't seem to be wearing off. Maybe if you work with them a little...? Try to talk to them, train them, teach them to do things... Who knows? It might do them some good. POKEMON AVAILABLE: WITHIN CITIES MONDAY | TUESDAY | WEDNESDAY | THURSDAY | FRIDAY [OOC: Welcome to week one of Azume; feel free to make as many top levels as you'd like and tag out to other characters! This post is for all of your interactions this week... at least until the weekend. Don't forget that a write-up is due this weekend! Feel free to investigate the city as you see fit this week; we ask only that you try to stagger investigations and be mindful of what's already been checked. If you wish to investigate, notify the mods in your comment subject for your top-level and we'll get on it as soon as possible!] |

How hard are you trying the doors?]

Chiiiiim-!
[Honestly, Sena's never even heard the monkey speak before this, so he almost doesn't recognize the straining sounds as his partner at first. When he does...]
H-hey! Monta-! [He ends up grasping at the door handle and giving it a more solid pull - whether it's to help Monta out or get him off the door is questionable.]

[But...it's so dark in here...are they even supposed to be in here?] H...hello? Geez...I need some light...
[Monta obliges, letting out a small stream of flames from its mouth. This understandably startles Sena, who hasn't actually seen anything like this before.]
HIEEEEEEEEEEEEH?! NOT THAT KIND OF LIGHT!!!!
[And it stops, Sena taking a few moments to catch his breath.] Hah...geez...you startled me... [Monkey doesn't care. Monkey hear, monkey do.] Uh, but it was a nice thought! Let's just...uh...try and find a light switch, okay?
[You do that. Monta's gonna climb all over this interesting stuff in the dark. That counts as looking around.]

There is, in fact, a lightswitch, and while it doesn't seem to have been used in quite some time, the electricity does still seem to work in here! So the gym will illuminate itself pretty nicely, revealing...well, this, just without any people in it.
Nice.]

This...this really is a gym!
[Yeah, Sena. What did you expect? A maze full of flowers precisely shaped like a Clefairy that lead up to the boss? Or perhaps a series of cannons firing you around the room, one sending you smack-dab into the wall. Maybe a giant rotating petal in the center of the room? How silly. It's totally just a normal gym.]
Monta, you should take a look at this stuff, it'd be great to try out...but why's nobody in here, anyway...?
[Monta is way ahead of you, Sena. He's climbing all over the equipment nearby while you look around.]
Um...is anyone here? I'd like permission to use this... [Is there a back door anywhere? Like, offices or something? Maybe he can find somebody or something showing what this belongs to.]

"A good deed for every day."
"One day at a time"
"Treasure every encounter, for it is unique."]

[Sena looks at his partner in confusion.]
That's...kind of weird stuff to put on a gym plaque, right?
[Monta wouldn't know. He's a Chimchar. Sena can only sigh.]
Well, I guess while we're here, we should try this stuff out...here, give this a punch!
[Sena points at the closest punching bag, the one right next to the stage where the plaques are. Monta looks between Sena and the bag, then goes up and...tackles it.
He's small, so that probably works better in the end.]
