Week 1.
WEEK 1. As Cynthia had promised, the sun does indeed rise the next morning. Whether you slept or not (and sleeping inside the Pokémon Center you were in before seems totally fine by the attendant), it seems Cynthia kept her word; she left sometime shortly before sunrise, and you haven't been bothered by Team Galactic and those that work for it in the interim. It isn't advisable to return to the headquarters building, however. At least not for the time being. However, a new day does dawn, and with it comes the knowledge that you're in an unfamiliar city, completely on your own. There are several things to be done before you can leave: gathering supplies and provisions, finding maps, obtaining new clothes... Of course, your new "companions" are still with you, and they don't seem willing to leave your side; they'll follow you dutifully, but they still seem...wrong, horribly so, and it doesn't seem to be wearing off. Maybe if you work with them a little...? Try to talk to them, train them, teach them to do things... Who knows? It might do them some good. POKEMON AVAILABLE: WITHIN CITIES MONDAY | TUESDAY | WEDNESDAY | THURSDAY | FRIDAY [OOC: Welcome to week one of Azume; feel free to make as many top levels as you'd like and tag out to other characters! This post is for all of your interactions this week... at least until the weekend. Don't forget that a write-up is due this weekend! Feel free to investigate the city as you see fit this week; we ask only that you try to stagger investigations and be mindful of what's already been checked. If you wish to investigate, notify the mods in your comment subject for your top-level and we'll get on it as soon as possible!] |

center, evening;
[ From the energy of her response, it seems like she's really been wracking her brain over it. Her poor little Pumpkaboo doesn't quite seem to share her enthusiasm, but rest assured, Chitanda has more than enough for the both of them-- ]
Everything I think of ends up sounding very silly, though! I don't want to give my poor new friend a name he wouldn't like being called. What if he meets little pumpkin companions one day who bother him over it? I certainly wouldn't want to be responsible for giving him something he finds embarrassing...but at the same time, wouldn't something like Jack be just a bit too cliche? It's quite difficult!

[omg. how pure can you get?? emm loves this girl already??? she smiles, bright and warm, even if she doesn't have nearly that level of energy.]
If I may, I think choosing one with meaning would make it truly special. That way, there will certainly be something to love about it.

[ She mulls that over, though, a fair bit. Something with meaning... ]
Maybe what I need is a bit of inspiration...ah, not to say that I mean to be a copycat, of course, but, something that jumps right out!

[emm has known this girl for a minute and a half and she loves her. this is usually true honestly but STILL]
Some people I've spoken to have drawn on stories and legends for their companions' names. A few others are commemorating loved ones from home. Perhaps something like that might offer some inspiration?

The thought instantly jumps into her head, to name it after Oreki. It would certainly be fitting enough, between the lethargy they both share; personality-wise, the two match each other perfectly. But judging from the way her cheeks heat up at even the idea, and the way she can feel her ears start to get warm when she remembers that she just thought of him as a loved one-- ]
A-ah, that's, well, er, you see..!
[ It's probably not happening-- ]
I, um, just think it might be better to try something a bit more original, is all! B-but I do appreciate the suggestions, of course!

emm just sort of looks on, bewildered, for a moment, but smiles brightly back just as quickly.]
Oh, of course, I understand. Do let me know if there's anything I can do to help, though, yes? I can tell you're treating this with so much importance and care.

[ How to put it...ah, she doesn't want to impose and go on at length about something silly, but, the more she thinks about it... ]
Well, to name it after someone like that, I mean...I wouldn't want to project, is all! And it would feel odd, I think, to do that without the person's permission...
[ If Oreki found out that she named something after him...how would he react? He'd probably get quiet, and grip at his bangs, the way he usually does when she says something that catches him off-guard... ]
I mean, what if they would think it's weird or something?

Of course. Ah, but please, you don't have to justify anything to me. [Said warmly, all with friendly understanding.] I think that's a perfectly understandable reason to choose something else. I would hate to see you put into an awkward situation once you see your loved ones again.
