Week 1.

WEEK 1. As Cynthia had promised, the sun does indeed rise the next morning. Whether you slept or not (and sleeping inside the Pokémon Center you were in before seems totally fine by the attendant), it seems Cynthia kept her word; she left sometime shortly before sunrise, and you haven't been bothered by Team Galactic and those that work for it in the interim. It isn't advisable to return to the headquarters building, however. At least not for the time being. However, a new day does dawn, and with it comes the knowledge that you're in an unfamiliar city, completely on your own. There are several things to be done before you can leave: gathering supplies and provisions, finding maps, obtaining new clothes... Of course, your new "companions" are still with you, and they don't seem willing to leave your side; they'll follow you dutifully, but they still seem...wrong, horribly so, and it doesn't seem to be wearing off. Maybe if you work with them a little...? Try to talk to them, train them, teach them to do things... Who knows? It might do them some good. Wait, if you're a princess, how do you know so much about surviving in the wild?

Because I've spent a great deal of times out in the wilds, traveling to various places.

Sounds like complicated circumstances.

Not at all! ... Or... No, I suppose it is, somewhat. But I can imagine no other way to live. I've ever been more suited to traveling, making my studies and experiments than to be in the castle.

Ooh, ooh, let me guess! You grew up sneaking out of your castle out of a rebellious spirit and became beloved by the people!

[ A laugh ] No, I did not need to sneak out, though after a point father did send wranglers for my protection.

Sounds like a tough life.

So it's that Renaissance stuff, where you have to be good at everything, not just diplomacy, huh?

[hyruglyphics]

I... do not know that term. But diplomacy was never my responsibility, not so explicitly. I do need to know the functions, but father - ... father handled matters of state itself.

I thought everyone in your line of work had to learn it eventually. I mean, the Galactic Federation has a president, so it's sort of an election thing, but I assume you still all do visits to your colonies and all that stuff.

I do need to know the formal procedures for visits to the tribes within the kingdom, of course, but ... I do not negotiate anything specific, beyond what duties I have as princess of Hyrule.

Still sounds like a lot of work. Of course, now we all have a lot of work and stuff to learn anyway.

A little, but appearances can be important.

[ Shrug. She doesn't like it, but some people need it? She doesn't know ]

Honestly... I find a lot of what we're to learn fascinating.

You mean, how this place works?

The architecture and technology, and the Pokemon and all of their nuance as well - all of them really are quite interesting!

That's true enough. Even if we are kind of in overload, and surrounded by a creepy dead cult besides.

[hyruglyphics]

There is no denying that, but the change in scenery and in what lies before me to learn... both of them fascinate me, and I cannot help but feel to gain that knowledge will assist in our endeavor.

Guess so. Looks like we're the right group for that, too!
