Week 1.
WEEK 1. As Cynthia had promised, the sun does indeed rise the next morning. Whether you slept or not (and sleeping inside the Pokรฉmon Center you were in before seems totally fine by the attendant), it seems Cynthia kept her word; she left sometime shortly before sunrise, and you haven't been bothered by Team Galactic and those that work for it in the interim. It isn't advisable to return to the headquarters building, however. At least not for the time being. However, a new day does dawn, and with it comes the knowledge that you're in an unfamiliar city, completely on your own. There are several things to be done before you can leave: gathering supplies and provisions, finding maps, obtaining new clothes... Of course, your new "companions" are still with you, and they don't seem willing to leave your side; they'll follow you dutifully, but they still seem...wrong, horribly so, and it doesn't seem to be wearing off. Maybe if you work with them a little...? Try to talk to them, train them, teach them to do things... Who knows? It might do them some good. POKEMON AVAILABLE: WITHIN CITIES MONDAY | TUESDAY | WEDNESDAY | THURSDAY | FRIDAY [OOC: Welcome to week one of Azume; feel free to make as many top levels as you'd like and tag out to other characters! This post is for all of your interactions this week... at least until the weekend. Don't forget that a write-up is due this weekend! Feel free to investigate the city as you see fit this week; we ask only that you try to stagger investigations and be mindful of what's already been checked. If you wish to investigate, notify the mods in your comment subject for your top-level and we'll get on it as soon as possible!] |

I am with Arion's; I've been training him for the past few days now, and he's been improving tremendously at taking down any who stand in his path. I'm more worried about Altena, truly; I may need to see if I can find something that plays more to her strengths.
[...because the punching bag is clearly too much.]

[Seriously, she's still concerned about getting too close to that thing and all his teeth. At least the other Pokemon looks slightly less...deadly, if still weirdly suited for her trainer. Rey doesn't really know the woman, but there's something about her two Pokemon that just...work for her general aesthetic.
Adjusting her grip on the ropes, Rey leans forward slightly, her gaze dipping to her feet before she returns it back to Camilla.]
Sorry for interrupting your training, I just...well, I didn't really introduce myself before. You know, in the base.
[If she's going to be travelling with these people, she wants to know who they all are - even if introducing herself is testing her rather lacking social skills.
But that's what practice was for, right? Getting better at things.]
I'm Rey. This is Golett, my...
[...what...does she even call you, anyway-what was the term Cynthia used?]
...my companion.

[...Oh.
Oh, that's--actually kind of??? Camilla honestly can't help but smile at the self introduction. She can't help but be at least a little bit reminded of Beruka, honestly; this is what she'd be if she tried social interactions.
...Okay no, she'd be a lot worse at this but. It's the principle of it. Camilla hides an amused expression behind her hand before simply chuckling.]
You're unfailingly polite, aren't you? Well, I certainly can't take offense to that--especially when you're so quick to mend matters. It's a pleasure, Rey; since I did not do so as well, I am Camilla. I believe my partners need little introduction.
[It isn't...really said condescendingly, at least? Like, seriously Rey. Shit's endearing.]

Thanks. Nice to meet you all.
[She is....trying her best....! Honestly, this is more people than she's had to deal with...ever, but Rey is nothing if not resilient. Plus, there's something about Camilla that makes her seem approachable, if...potentially terrifying in the right circumstances.
i.e. a good person to know.
...
Okay, time to keep the conversation...moving...!]
So, do...you use the equipment, or just your Pokemon?
no subject
Oh, it's just my Pokemon at this time...I've never had any experience fighting hand to hand. Were I to improvise some sort of weaponry out of something from the department store, or gods forbid, a particularly sturdy stick, I would be more than happy to lead by example for my darlings.
[Hmm. Camilla finds her head tilting the slightest bit in curiosity.]
What of yourself?

That's interesting, actually - it's the reverse for Golett and I. Jake has been teaching me some hand-to-hand combat, and I managed to find a staff among the equipment. That's my weapon of choice whenever I don't have my Lightsaber.
[...uh, that's-]
...my...sword, I mean. It's like a sword.
[...anyway, let's talk more about the Pokemon.]
....do they seem to enjoy the training? Your Pokemon, I mean. I know they're used for battling but I haven't really been sure how to involve Golett in my own training.
