Week 1.

WEEK 1. As Cynthia had promised, the sun does indeed rise the next morning. Whether you slept or not (and sleeping inside the Pokémon Center you were in before seems totally fine by the attendant), it seems Cynthia kept her word; she left sometime shortly before sunrise, and you haven't been bothered by Team Galactic and those that work for it in the interim. It isn't advisable to return to the headquarters building, however. At least not for the time being. However, a new day does dawn, and with it comes the knowledge that you're in an unfamiliar city, completely on your own. There are several things to be done before you can leave: gathering supplies and provisions, finding maps, obtaining new clothes... Of course, your new "companions" are still with you, and they don't seem willing to leave your side; they'll follow you dutifully, but they still seem...wrong, horribly so, and it doesn't seem to be wearing off. Maybe if you work with them a little...? Try to talk to them, train them, teach them to do things... Who knows? It might do them some good. [He stopped walking when Zelda addressed him, Hemera coming to a similar halt at his side.]

[use those pointy ears zelda, there's a tiny jingle bell hopping around somewhere!]

A... bell?

[ Maybe a bell? Or ] Or wind chimes...

No, it's too rhythmic for wind chimes, and it's not stayed in one place... But there's no sound of anyone walking, so it can't be as simple as some dangling accessory, either.

Quite honestly, curiosity alone has me a bit distracted from what I was planning to do today. Would you care to help me figure this out?

Yes - now that I've noticed, it shall no doubt bother me too.

[ Especially if he's right and it'll just be like... a ghost bell. ]

Unless my estimate is unusually wrong, I think it was heading in this direction. Shall we?

[ She nods and then realizes he can't see that and confirms by way of a noise of agreement, getting into step with him to allow him and/or the... dog? to lead the way here. She could hear it, of course, but it was pretty faint. She keeps her eyes peeled though! ]

[Ignis did at least seemed to know where he was going, or at the very least how to follow the vague sound of a very small, insistent bell--after a minute or two he stopped, tilted his head, and frowned slightly.]

I think it's around here somewhere--it doesn't seem to be moving too quickly, so there's that.

[And there might just be a little flash of red and white behind some nearby trees, listlessly hopping by with that same jingling sound every time it lands.]

[ She focuses then! She doesn't close her eyes though, mostly because if she did it would only make her harder because no doubt he can hear better than her? So instead she tries to focus with both her ears and eyes and... then points, realizes he can't see the point and- ]

T-there! I saw some movement.

[ and she's off!! At a quick pace! ]

[AWAY WE GO with ignis keeping up just a step or two behind.]

[Following the bouncing motion and accompanying jingle would lead them to a tiny Chingling, making his way downtown in the most disinterested way one could possibly hop down the street.]

It should be right in front of us. Do you see anything?

[ Oh... wow, what an interesting shape! She grins, and crouches down to be more level with it once she's caught up, and then speaks up for Ignis, ]

Yes! It appears to be some sort of... living bell?
