Week 2.

WEEK 2. The new week begins with new surroundings. The city you've been growing accustomed to over the past week is now well behind you as you set out on your journey proper; the terrain still seems rocky and steep here as you move downhill and to the south, dotted here and there with small ponds to the east and rocky outcroppings that you can climb on to the west. There are also large expanses of tall grass here, and the entire route is flanked with tall trees leading off into the forest a short ways. You're more than welcome to explore; just don't stray too far from the group - you wouldn't want to be left behind out here, for any reason. Wild Pokémon are abundant here, as anyone venturing into the tall grass will discover; they aren't inclined to attack you, however, simply watching with dull, dead eyes as you stumble through the area they've come to call home. The trip is difficult, and it's a lot of walking, but it's not unmanageable; fortunately enough, the route you're on should lead you directly to Valor Lakefront, assuming there are no complications along the way. From Thursday and beyond, the route takes a sharp turn west; in front of you lies what's clearly the ocean, large rocks jutting out just offshore tempering the waves. It's safe to go in the water if you so choose - assuming you can swim, that is - and the forested terrain has given way to a large beach with patches of tall grass here and there. Interestingly, there's a house located on the beach; whether it's inhabited or not is difficult to tell. Of course, exploring slightly north of the beach will reveal a path. Maybe it leads somewhere important... Did you steal it? Technology like that's pretty impressive, so I can see why you'd want to hold onto it.

Sounds like you had a pretty interesting adventure.

Most of my adventures are "pretty interesting."

So which one was your favorite?

Out of all the adventures you've been on, one of 'em has probably stood out, right? Something you've really enjoyed, even if it wasn't necessarily fun at the time?

You know this isn't really something I do for the hell of it, right? The whole mercenary thing.

No, of course not. It's to make a living, right?

Yeah. More or less.

Most of what I do is just a job; I don't really care about it one way or another.

Kinda how I felt when I left Zaphias. Just get out, get the aque blastia, get home. But somewhere along the way it really became an adventure, and honestly? I didn't want it to end.

I thought maybe you'd experienced something similar. But I guess our worlds are really different places, yeah?

I'm not trying to depress you or anything. It's just kinda weird to talk about.

You don't have to worry about me, it's fine.

I would like to hear more about your adventures sometime, even if they haven't been fun or enjoyable.

...Maybe sometime, yeah. As long as you tell me about yours.

I've got plenty of stories to share. Didn't really have many before I left the city, but now? I've been all over the place, seen all sorts of crazy things. It's been a wild ride.

[bloodspent]

I mean, you've got your catfish and stuff. So I'd imagine so.

Ba'ul's been great. I honestly don't know how he puts up with us flying him all around the world.

Definitely. It's because Judy's with us - they've been friends for a long time.

So is Judy human, or is she another one of those Entelexeia things? ...Or a Repede, I guess she could be one of those, too.
