Week 3.

WEEK 3 The past weekend has given people a lot to take in, and a lot to think about. You're permitted to stay at the resort all day on Sunday, should you so choose; relax and replenish yourselves with regards to sleep at least, seeing as it's much more comfortable than the routes or sleeping on the floor of the Pokémon Center. Commander Saturn is gone as of last night, and no one seems to be coming after you - though there is likely something you'll be aware of by the end of the day... Whatever happens, it's evident that you'll have to leave this place eventually, and Monday should find everyone back on Route 213. It's been repeatedly recommended to move toward Pastoria City; whether you believe the source of said urging to be trustworthy or not, it's still a good idea to move in that direction - a city means supplies, after all, a place to restock and spend a few days. Everyone should be able to find Pastoria City by Tuesday afternoon; it's another unfamiliar place, with various things to see and look at over the course of the next few days. It's far smaller than Veilstone, but it borders up to the ocean by way of a small jetty on the southeastern side of town with a few boats moored to it. Otherwise, it's surrounded by forest, and the main path winds its way lazily through town, weaving between personal residences and a few places of business. Of course, it's still not nearly as lively as it should be; the inhabitants here all seem as devoid of spirit as everywhere else; fortunately, a select few of your companions do seem to be perking up a bit - perhaps that's a good sign, in the end. It runs on a motor! And it takes fuel and you drive it around, so they can go way faster than an animal! You guys don't have anything like that?

Not anything that can move on land like that, no. We've got ships? But they run on blastia.

...what the heck is that.

Blastia? They're power sources - they can do all sorts of things. They can power ships, or produce electricity, or even be used to cast magic.

Whoa! I mean, I know you guys were talking about magic existing and that stuff before, but one thing doing all that? That's gotta be efficient. Sounds really cool to hear about.

Yeah, they're pretty cool. Mine isn't working here, otherwise I'd show you some of my artes. They're really strong attacks.

Guess you guys don't have missiles or guns, then, either.

I have no idea what a missile is, but there was a guy who used a gun. They're not very common, though.

Your world does sound pretty fascinating, even if it's really far out from everything I know. Same with all your guys's worlds. Rey's sounds pretty close to mine, except she has that connection to the universe thing.

Rey's sounds pretty crazy to think about, honestly... But what "connection to the universe" thing are you talking about?

When Bucky was asking about people's superpowers. Like... [She takes a breath, closes her eyes, and does a pretty decent Space British accent.] "...I have this...connection, I suppose you'd call it, with this....universal energy and I should always be able to feel it." [She opens her eyes and winks.] THat one!

Hey, that's pretty good. Both the accent and the memory. Can you always recall stuff that easily?

[niceoppai]

Yup! I happen to have a pretty good memory. Names, dates, descriptions, you got it!

[fatalstrikes]

That's pretty handy. You think you'll be able to keep up with the number of Pokémon we're going to run into?

[niceoppai]

Sure thing! You mean like what types they all are and what they can learn, right? That's been easy enough so far. Even if some of the moves get a little weird.

[fatalstrikes]

Yeah, exactly. I think it'll be good to have some people who can remember this sort of stuff, just in case we need it and don't have time to look through a book.

[niceoppai]

I can see why the people and Pokémon get into battling for fun. There's a lot of strategy in there if you want there to be.

[fatalstrikes]

Yeah. You can't just roll over everything with something extremely powerful because it looks like there's always something that can beat you. It helps that most of these guys are pretty cute, I can see why people would get attached.

[They aren't exactly as cute without any sort of emotions, but before the world was like this it'd make sense.]

Uh-huh. A peaceful way to resolve things, too.
