Week 3.

WEEK 3

The past weekend has given people a lot to take in, and a lot to think about.

You're permitted to stay at the resort all day on Sunday, should you so choose; relax and replenish yourselves with regards to sleep at least, seeing as it's much more comfortable than the routes or sleeping on the floor of the Pokémon Center. Commander Saturn is gone as of last night, and no one seems to be coming after you - though there is likely something you'll be aware of by the end of the day...

Whatever happens, it's evident that you'll have to leave this place eventually, and Monday should find everyone back on Route 213. It's been repeatedly recommended to move toward Pastoria City; whether you believe the source of said urging to be trustworthy or not, it's still a good idea to move in that direction - a city means supplies, after all, a place to restock and spend a few days.

Everyone should be able to find Pastoria City by Tuesday afternoon; it's another unfamiliar place, with various things to see and look at over the course of the next few days. It's far smaller than Veilstone, but it borders up to the ocean by way of a small jetty on the southeastern side of town with a few boats moored to it. Otherwise, it's surrounded by forest, and the main path winds its way lazily through town, weaving between personal residences and a few places of business.

Of course, it's still not nearly as lively as it should be; the inhabitants here all seem as devoid of spirit as everywhere else; fortunately, a select few of your companions do seem to be perking up a bit - perhaps that's a good sign, in the end.

CURRENT LOCATION: PASTORIA CITY
POKEMON AVAILABLE: IN CITIES / NEAR WATER

SUNDAY | MONDAY | TUESDAY | WEDNESDAY | THURSDAY | FRIDAY
[OOC: Welcome to week three of Azume; feel free to make as many top levels as you'd like and tag out to other characters! This post is for all of your interactions this week... at least until the weekend. Don't forget that a write-up is due this weekend!]

bloodspent: (07. they're all the same)

[personal profile] bloodspent 2018-06-18 09:40 pm (UTC)(link)
Do you think their legends are true, or just nice stories?
semistableman: (★ i would change everything)

[personal profile] semistableman 2018-06-18 10:20 pm (UTC)(link)
Probably a bit of both. Legends are just the truth embellished over time.
bloodspent: (03. you made a vow)

[personal profile] bloodspent 2018-06-18 10:29 pm (UTC)(link)
I guess that makes sense. It's not like I really know too many, outside of standard mythology shit.
semistableman: (★ someplace i will never be)

[personal profile] semistableman 2018-06-19 12:24 am (UTC)(link)
Admittedly, it's not like you can really tell much about the really old ones, other than crap like, "this legendary hero probably existed at some point in time." Seeing people romanticize my unit was surreal enough, and it's not like centuries passed between then and now.

[He laughs.]

Kinda wish my buddy was here, you could probably tell you all about mythology. It never really interested me.
bloodspent: (07. they're all the same)

[personal profile] bloodspent 2018-06-19 12:41 am (UTC)(link)
Jesus, I can just imagine. Tell me a bit about this buddy of yours, though. I'm curious.
semistableman: (★ someplace i will never be)

[personal profile] semistableman 2018-06-19 01:05 am (UTC)(link)
He's an artist.

[Because of course that's the first thing to talk about when it comes to Steve Rogers.]

He was sick as a kid, really sick. He had a lot wrong with him, but he was always acting like a guy twice his size. I told him he should just take the 4F and be grateful-- not a chance of him getting killed.

[He pauses.]

4F is the designation saying you're too sick for military service, in America. When I got shipped out, I think he was jealous, desperate. He managed to convince somebody to let him into the military, anyway. I don't know the full story-- something about a pretty woman and scientist seeing him having potential. He was given this serum that made him super strong.

The first thing he did upon ending up in Europe as part of the USO was leave the base to rescue me from a POW camp.

By himself.
bloodspent: (47. when you were there first)

[Jake Muller is not impressed by much.

Judging by the low whistle he lets out at that one, he is impressed with Steve Rogers.]

Holy shit. What a badass.
semistableman: of my own (★ never had a cherry valance)

[personal profile] semistableman 2018-06-19 01:13 am (UTC)(link)
[Bucky nods, looking proud as hell.]

Yeah. He did it, too. Rescued everyone from the camp. The Nazis had goddamn rayguns and he rescued us without fear.

bloodspent: (17. it's not your house)

[personal profile] bloodspent 2018-06-19 01:33 am (UTC)(link)
He seems like the kind of guy that would have found a way even without all the serum and shit.

[He knows a couple people like that now; people like that are pretty awesome, even if he does like some of them decidedly more than others on a personal level.]
semistableman: (★ someplace i will never be)

[personal profile] semistableman 2018-06-19 02:39 am (UTC)(link)
Honestly?

I absolutely believe that. He isn't the sort of man to give up. Hell, he fought tooth and nail for me, no less than half a dozen times. It's kind of embarrassing, having a guy save you that often.
bloodspent: (56. the candle from both ends)

[personal profile] bloodspent 2018-06-19 02:52 am (UTC)(link)
Isn't it just. It's usually this cute girl I know saving my ass somehow, and I'm not sure if that's more or less embarrassing. On the one hand, cute girl? On the other, cute girl.
semistableman: (✪ he's never coming back)

[personal profile] semistableman 2018-06-19 03:13 am (UTC)(link)
[Oh god, don't compare Steve to a girl, he's too sexually repressed for this.]

I'm still not used to it. But it's kind of a nice feeling.

[.......]

He pulled me out of a helicopter once. While it was in the air.
bloodspent: (23. heavy as a feather)

[personal profile] bloodspent 2018-06-19 03:24 am (UTC)(link)
Jesus Christ.

[keep this up and jake's going to want to propose to this man, and he's not the least bit into guys?]

It probably goes without saying that you need to keep this guy.
semistableman: (✪ maybe you're a joker)

[personal profile] semistableman 2018-06-19 03:41 am (UTC)(link)
[Bucky laughs.]

You're not the first person to tell me that.
bloodspent: (26. i do not deserve)

[personal profile] bloodspent 2018-06-19 03:42 am (UTC)(link)
I'd fucking hope not, actually.
semistableman: (❅ focus in on all things you say)

[personal profile] semistableman 2018-06-19 03:58 am (UTC)(link)
[He hesitates before he shrugs.]

It was illegal in the 30s.

S'not illegal anymore though, especially not in Wakanda.
bloodspent: (03. you made a vow)

[personal profile] bloodspent 2018-06-19 04:05 am (UTC)(link)
Yeah, it's not too smiled-upon in Edonia either, but neither is murder. So I'm probably not the best person to give you legal and ethical advice.

[jake.]
semistableman: (☔ did not occur to you)

[personal profile] semistableman 2018-06-19 04:19 am (UTC)(link)
[Bucky shrugs.]

The King's private guards are all women in Wakanda. Most of 'em are married to each other. They don't seem to mind any.
