Week 3.

WEEK 3 The past weekend has given people a lot to take in, and a lot to think about. You're permitted to stay at the resort all day on Sunday, should you so choose; relax and replenish yourselves with regards to sleep at least, seeing as it's much more comfortable than the routes or sleeping on the floor of the Pokémon Center. Commander Saturn is gone as of last night, and no one seems to be coming after you - though there is likely something you'll be aware of by the end of the day... Whatever happens, it's evident that you'll have to leave this place eventually, and Monday should find everyone back on Route 213. It's been repeatedly recommended to move toward Pastoria City; whether you believe the source of said urging to be trustworthy or not, it's still a good idea to move in that direction - a city means supplies, after all, a place to restock and spend a few days. Everyone should be able to find Pastoria City by Tuesday afternoon; it's another unfamiliar place, with various things to see and look at over the course of the next few days. It's far smaller than Veilstone, but it borders up to the ocean by way of a small jetty on the southeastern side of town with a few boats moored to it. Otherwise, it's surrounded by forest, and the main path winds its way lazily through town, weaving between personal residences and a few places of business. Of course, it's still not nearly as lively as it should be; the inhabitants here all seem as devoid of spirit as everywhere else; fortunately, a select few of your companions do seem to be perking up a bit - perhaps that's a good sign, in the end. Uh-huh. Is there a desert in your country, or around there?

There is! Southwest in Hyrule lies the great Gerudo desert.

Sounds pretty big. I mean, not planetwide like Sandvil, but big for a multi-biome planet.

-A whole ... a world of nothing but desert? Yes, it is vast, but- even so, that sounds impressive?

It's kinda harsh, and no one ever comes there except to look at the sandworms and the repellent transmitters, but it's home. I'm pretty impressed when I go to places like yours, too.

... I am even more impressed, Chelsea! That your people are adapted to a world with nothing but sands... What do you grow, have you cultivated crops for it?

[ And sandworms... Moldugas, perhaps? ]

There's some water, but not a lot. There's mostly shrubs if there's anything, and livestock eat those, plus there are some edible flowers and other hard plants. We mostly import, though. People live in all kinds of environments nowadays. ...I kinda wonder what it must've been like on Graceland. They say it used to be a really nice place until everything there died off during the civil war.

[ She frowns and crosses her hands in front of her chest, in that sort of prayer motion she does sometimes. She frowns a little deeper but then focuses, ]

But no, I sincerely mean it - I ... honestly, I am impressed with you now, that your people survive there while looking not too dissimilar from a Hylian.

Heh, not too many people say that, but I'm kinda glad. All of you guys keep on amazing me, too, with the stuff you pull off here.

We have accomplished little more than hiking some and negotiations. [ You know. Shrug a little bit, but she seems pleased all the same. Not to many people say that though? Wow? ]

I guess that's true, but no one's gotten thrown back into Team Galactic, have we?

[ She nods at that, and whatever additional reply she was going to make to that is interrupted in the form of ... an awareness that her table, the one they have been talking by is being interrupted. Namely, the migration of the shellos is beginning to pick up, and one of them might've bumped the chairs here. She giggles at that, shaking her head. ]
