Week 3.

WEEK 3 The past weekend has given people a lot to take in, and a lot to think about. You're permitted to stay at the resort all day on Sunday, should you so choose; relax and replenish yourselves with regards to sleep at least, seeing as it's much more comfortable than the routes or sleeping on the floor of the Pokémon Center. Commander Saturn is gone as of last night, and no one seems to be coming after you - though there is likely something you'll be aware of by the end of the day... Whatever happens, it's evident that you'll have to leave this place eventually, and Monday should find everyone back on Route 213. It's been repeatedly recommended to move toward Pastoria City; whether you believe the source of said urging to be trustworthy or not, it's still a good idea to move in that direction - a city means supplies, after all, a place to restock and spend a few days. Everyone should be able to find Pastoria City by Tuesday afternoon; it's another unfamiliar place, with various things to see and look at over the course of the next few days. It's far smaller than Veilstone, but it borders up to the ocean by way of a small jetty on the southeastern side of town with a few boats moored to it. Otherwise, it's surrounded by forest, and the main path winds its way lazily through town, weaving between personal residences and a few places of business. Of course, it's still not nearly as lively as it should be; the inhabitants here all seem as devoid of spirit as everywhere else; fortunately, a select few of your companions do seem to be perking up a bit - perhaps that's a good sign, in the end. Um...I dunno. [Sniff.] Ask Monta and Vee, I guess?

[Aha, there they are. They're coming in carrying more sticks now.]

...you mean your Pokemon?

[...what the fuck are they doing. like, is this like kids, or... well, he's going to turn to them and ask.]

Can't the two of you do whatever you're doing outside?

[Vee doesn't get the question. Monta wants to make the piles here, so they're making the piles here, right?

Monta, on the other hand, chitters and points to Sena, who sniffs miserably.]

[well, it doesn't take a genius to figure out what they're trying to do, even if the actual method of making someone feel better that they're trying to accomplish still eludes him.]

Oh. Well, sticks aren't going to help anything. I think you should probably consider making him a hot beverage or... something.

[Monta squeals at hearing the word "hot," then brandishes the stick again.

When that gets another blank look from Sena, he promptly lights up the top of the stick with an ember attack.

M-M-Monta?!

[you know, given how many Pokemon seem to be literally on fire, he has to wonder for a second how fireproof the Pokemon Centers are...

For Christ's sake, don't do that indoors.

[The monkey looks nonplussed, but waves the stick so that it goes out. Thanks, Monta.]

Alright, look. Let's see if we can take this outside.

[He's not doing this out of pure compassion but because he doesn't want to see the Pokemon Center burned down.]

[Sena just wanted to do his best. Sena doesn't want the Pokemon Center to burn down. So he's nodding very rapidly. Please.

The fact that Monta is going up and tugging at his sleeve, however, doesn't make it look like this will be easy.]

H...huh? You want me to c- [ack-choo!] -come?

No, look. We'll make him tea outside and bring it in for him. That's how this works.

[But he didn't want to make him tea. He wanted to make Sena warm.]

That's, uh...a good idea, actually... [He'd just woken up, so a cup of tea sounds great. Better than a fire in the Pokemon Center, of course.]

Chimu... [okay fiiineee. if you say so.]

[if Kayneth could speak Pokemon, he'd say there's nothing better at warming you up than a nice cup of tea

Right. Let's go, then.

[TIME TO GO OUTSIDE, BUILD A FIRE, AND MAKE SOME TEA]

[Okay fine he'll help build a fire out there if he must. Vee doesn't care and just grabs some sticks to take outside.]

Th...thanks... [Sneeze. Seriously. Thanks. You probably saved them a whole lot of trouble.]

anyway, let's get the kettle ready and find a clearing that won't catch on fire for them to build a fire on.]

Anyways, Vee is being nice and unobtrusive and just carrying as many sticks as she can, while Monta is...going back and forth, clearly wanting to pick a spot and get it done with.]
