Week 3.

WEEK 3

The past weekend has given people a lot to take in, and a lot to think about.

You're permitted to stay at the resort all day on Sunday, should you so choose; relax and replenish yourselves with regards to sleep at least, seeing as it's much more comfortable than the routes or sleeping on the floor of the Pokémon Center. Commander Saturn is gone as of last night, and no one seems to be coming after you - though there is likely something you'll be aware of by the end of the day...

Whatever happens, it's evident that you'll have to leave this place eventually, and Monday should find everyone back on Route 213. It's been repeatedly recommended to move toward Pastoria City; whether you believe the source of said urging to be trustworthy or not, it's still a good idea to move in that direction - a city means supplies, after all, a place to restock and spend a few days.

Everyone should be able to find Pastoria City by Tuesday afternoon; it's another unfamiliar place, with various things to see and look at over the course of the next few days. It's far smaller than Veilstone, but it borders up to the ocean by way of a small jetty on the southeastern side of town with a few boats moored to it. Otherwise, it's surrounded by forest, and the main path winds its way lazily through town, weaving between personal residences and a few places of business.

Of course, it's still not nearly as lively as it should be; the inhabitants here all seem as devoid of spirit as everywhere else; fortunately, a select few of your companions do seem to be perking up a bit - perhaps that's a good sign, in the end.

CURRENT LOCATION: PASTORIA CITY
POKEMON AVAILABLE: IN CITIES / NEAR WATER

SUNDAY | MONDAY | TUESDAY | WEDNESDAY | THURSDAY | FRIDAY
[OOC: Welcome to week three of Azume; feel free to make as many top levels as you'd like and tag out to other characters! This post is for all of your interactions this week... at least until the weekend. Don't forget that a write-up is due this weekend!]

I sure hope he can. In hindsight that should have been tested before buying them.

[Kind of an oversight, yep. Daigo's rather interested in them, even though so far all he has managed to do is put one as a bracelet]
hyruglyphics: (Frogs!!)

[personal profile] hyruglyphics 2018-06-23 01:58 am (UTC)(link)
No, I would do the same, if Miphanus had been particularly interested in something! It is a very radical change, after all!

[Kiryu sits Daigo on his leg and tries to put a bowtie on him. It's a bit of a struggle, but they manage to make it comfortable for the bear. Yup, this is going to work!]

Has Miphanus been interested in anything yet?
hyruglyphics: (Do appreciate these)

[personal profile] hyruglyphics 2018-06-23 05:09 am (UTC)(link)
[ She actually giggles at that. It's... cute. That's super cute? And with that cute image, Miphanus actually floats around Daigo, as if to view it from a different angle. Actually, that's very likely its intention. And Zelda answers. ]

A great many things, actually. I get the sense that one of their defining traits is curiosity, even if they are insistent on very little.

Curiosity... [Hm] Like a robot looking for information.

[He doesn't know much about technology, but it's not hard to hear about how robots and computers are given huge amounts of information]
hyruglyphics: (I mean some look okay?)

[personal profile] hyruglyphics 2018-06-23 07:40 pm (UTC)(link)
It's inspiring, isn't it?

[ She beams and reaches up to pet the Beldum. Who leans into it... yep. ]

It kinda is. And also strange. I had never heard of anything like Miphanus. The closest we have in my world is these, hm... [He crouches and raises a hand like a feet up the ground] ...robot toys shaped like dogs, this tall. Nothing impressive, just toys.
hyruglyphics: (idk man)

[personal profile] hyruglyphics 2018-06-25 04:36 am (UTC)(link)
Hyrule has the Guardians, and other ancient technology... honestly, to me that there could be robotic entities made into toys strikes me as something amazing, to have it be so casual.

[personal profile] takestheblame 2018-06-25 01:14 pm (UTC)(link)
It's said they'll get more advanced with time. Some sort of technology boom, I guess.
hyruglyphics: (keywords here?)

[personal profile] hyruglyphics 2018-06-26 06:13 pm (UTC)(link)
Even more so, then!

[ A beat, but... ]

Would you say the technology in the cities here are more or less impressive than your own robots?
takestheblame: 14 (14)

[personal profile] takestheblame 2018-06-27 12:46 am (UTC)(link)
It's more impressive. Looks more advanced and can do stuff like heal creatures to full strength in no time. That's something we can't do in my world.

[Although...]

Not that I know much. Technology has never been something I understand.
hyruglyphics: (YEET)

[personal profile] hyruglyphics 2018-06-27 12:55 am (UTC)(link)
I've encountered so many new things here. Those gas-powered ovens, televisions, those machines that can give chilled drinks for money...
takestheblame: 8 (8)

[personal profile] takestheblame 2018-06-27 04:21 am (UTC)(link)
But all that is basic technology! [Even Kiryu can use all that, and that says a lot!] I thought in your world technology was rather advanced.

[He sounds so confused]
hyruglyphics: (but for now let's do this)

[personal profile] hyruglyphics 2018-06-27 04:25 am (UTC)(link)
I do not know where I gave that implication.

[ Sheepishly, she says this, ]

... But yes, I am unfamiliar with the "basics."

[personal profile] takestheblame 2018-06-27 10:36 pm (UTC)(link)
Giant machines are usually the result of very advanced knowledge in technology.
hyruglyphics: (I mean mostly I)

[personal profile] hyruglyphics 2018-06-27 11:13 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh-! If I did not explain clearly, those were created by the ancient Sheikah thousands of years ago. My people only rediscovered them in modern times within my father's lifetime.
takestheblame: 8 (8)

[personal profile] takestheblame 2018-06-28 05:45 am (UTC)(link)
[Oh! That explains a lot!]

So you found artifacts from an ancient civilization...I do have to wonder how they were rediscovered -- they're big machines, from what I heard. Were they buried somewhere?
hyruglyphics: (or something like that)

[personal profile] hyruglyphics 2018-06-28 09:49 pm (UTC)(link)
Yes. They were lost to the mountains and sands of Hyrule's wilds. Vah Nabooris, for example, was excavated from the canyon walls leading towards the Gerudo desert.
