Week 3.

WEEK 3 The past weekend has given people a lot to take in, and a lot to think about. You're permitted to stay at the resort all day on Sunday, should you so choose; relax and replenish yourselves with regards to sleep at least, seeing as it's much more comfortable than the routes or sleeping on the floor of the Pokémon Center. Commander Saturn is gone as of last night, and no one seems to be coming after you - though there is likely something you'll be aware of by the end of the day... Whatever happens, it's evident that you'll have to leave this place eventually, and Monday should find everyone back on Route 213. It's been repeatedly recommended to move toward Pastoria City; whether you believe the source of said urging to be trustworthy or not, it's still a good idea to move in that direction - a city means supplies, after all, a place to restock and spend a few days. Everyone should be able to find Pastoria City by Tuesday afternoon; it's another unfamiliar place, with various things to see and look at over the course of the next few days. It's far smaller than Veilstone, but it borders up to the ocean by way of a small jetty on the southeastern side of town with a few boats moored to it. Otherwise, it's surrounded by forest, and the main path winds its way lazily through town, weaving between personal residences and a few places of business. Of course, it's still not nearly as lively as it should be; the inhabitants here all seem as devoid of spirit as everywhere else; fortunately, a select few of your companions do seem to be perking up a bit - perhaps that's a good sign, in the end. No kidding! Wonder if they've developed it for humans, too.

Maybe humans just don't get injured as often here.

Even if it is uncommon, there ought to still be ways of managing it. Though I suppose, if Pokemon commonly battle, there would need to be a greater healing for them.

Yeah, exactly! Since they do that all the time, of course they'd have these machines all over the place.

Though I do wonder how it works-! It operates on them while they are within the balls, so it could be that it influences whatever form they are in while contained within the ball!


[ You know, unless the whole . . . thing . . teleports them elsewhere. She's still not sure? But her green eyes are bright with interest! ]

Yeah! So it radiates through the container somehow, but it isn`t harmful to them.

That's right! If anything, it might influence their form there positively!

Hmm. So maybe it's something like those teleporters in the Team Galactic base, where you dematerialize and show up on another floor. The healing thing is outside the ball and then inside it.

Did you end up stepping on those, in the end?

[ She didn't... dare... ]

Yeah, it was actually perfectly harmless. Which is weird, but so's a lot here. Useful if we find them someplace else, though!

Yes! Quite useful, even if I'm... well, I suppose someone ought to have tested it...

That was only in our first few hours, you can hardly be critiqued for rash choices.

[ Zelda shakes his head, and after a moment she reaches a hand out to brush on Chelsea's arm ]

Chelsea, I hold no authority over you, and you are older than me. I've no position to criticize anything, merely to be concerned.

[She sighs.] At least someone recognizes that. You're probably right to get worried, too, especially if you guys don't have anything like spatial gates.

Are you referring to Morag's tendency to give orders...?

I wasn't actually talking about that, but what'd she do now?

Nothing, I just had seen her tendency to do so? She is somewhat standoffish.
