Week 3.
WEEK 3 The past weekend has given people a lot to take in, and a lot to think about. You're permitted to stay at the resort all day on Sunday, should you so choose; relax and replenish yourselves with regards to sleep at least, seeing as it's much more comfortable than the routes or sleeping on the floor of the Pokémon Center. Commander Saturn is gone as of last night, and no one seems to be coming after you - though there is likely something you'll be aware of by the end of the day... Whatever happens, it's evident that you'll have to leave this place eventually, and Monday should find everyone back on Route 213. It's been repeatedly recommended to move toward Pastoria City; whether you believe the source of said urging to be trustworthy or not, it's still a good idea to move in that direction - a city means supplies, after all, a place to restock and spend a few days. Everyone should be able to find Pastoria City by Tuesday afternoon; it's another unfamiliar place, with various things to see and look at over the course of the next few days. It's far smaller than Veilstone, but it borders up to the ocean by way of a small jetty on the southeastern side of town with a few boats moored to it. Otherwise, it's surrounded by forest, and the main path winds its way lazily through town, weaving between personal residences and a few places of business. Of course, it's still not nearly as lively as it should be; the inhabitants here all seem as devoid of spirit as everywhere else; fortunately, a select few of your companions do seem to be perking up a bit - perhaps that's a good sign, in the end. POKEMON AVAILABLE: IN CITIES / NEAR WATER SUNDAY | MONDAY | TUESDAY | WEDNESDAY | THURSDAY | FRIDAY [OOC: Welcome to week three of Azume; feel free to make as many top levels as you'd like and tag out to other characters! This post is for all of your interactions this week... at least until the weekend. Don't forget that a write-up is due this weekend!] |

Huh? Yeah, I can...
[It's a cold, not something like...the flu or chickenpox or something. He can absolutely walk, especially now that he's had a nap.
Sena stumbles out of his bedroll and starts rolling it up before he thinks to ask:]
Uh...where are we going?
no subject
[She cups a hand around her mouth.] Monkey! Come help Sena carry his things. Consider it strength training.
[So he doesn't have to watch out for fires now...? Monkey nods, and hastily moves to help roll up some of those blankets. He's all of three feet tall so there's only so much he can do, but damn if he isn't going to try to carry some of them.]
no subject
[Sena blinks in surprise as Monkey takes a few of the blankets and rolls them up. That's actually quite handy - now Sena only needs to carry his bedroll.]
Th-thanks...
no subject
But then he's scurrying off to catch up with Rin, who's already left the building at this point. Given the stack of blankets is definitely taller than him, he might be going too fas—YUP. There he goes, missing the exit and crashing into a wall. Spinning in circles, Monkey tries to pull of a graceful recovery without knocking over any of the blankets though, zooming just as quickly as before to head out the door.
Rin calls back inside as the doors slide open.]
You're so slow in there... Are you coming?
no subject
Then Rin calls out, and he hurries to gather the bedroll in his arms.]
Uh-coming! [He stumbles to his feet, looking around for Monta and Vee - oh, there they are.]
G-guys, you don't need to worry about the sticks!
[The two Pokemon look up from where they were gathering all the fruits of their labor, then drop the sticks they were carrying and come to join Sena. Monta seems to look a little disgruntled about it, but does so all the same.]
no subject
If everyone's here, though, it won't take long to reach their destination. It's the house Rin was working at earlier, when she saw Sena's pokemon rush by. When they reach the door, Rin doesn't even bother knocking and just opens it up to go inside.]
I just need to talk to the lady of the house for a second. You can wait out here, or come inside.
no subject
[Sena initially was going to wait outside. But another fit of coughing makes him rethink that decision - especially when Monta and Vee decide to follow Rin inside.
He instead tries to make himself as small and unobtrusive as possible. His success is...mixed.]

For her part, as soon as she walked through the door, Rin scooted off deeper into the house, calling someone's name. Their muffled voices can be heard from the kitchen, and at one point an old woman pokes her head out. She regards Sena with dull eyes, then feebly walks back into the kitchen with a nod of her head.
Whatever the agreement was, Rin sounds pleased. She stays in there a little longer, energetic bustling heard about the kitchen as someone presumably makes something, but she's back out to speak to Sena before too much longer.]
Okay, I got that settled. Bring your stuff this way.
[What stuff he has, anyways; Rin still has his pack, and she turns around swiftly in the direction of a bedroom off to the left.]
no subject
Uh...over here?
[He shuffles over, apologizing to the grandmother as he passes by the kitchen. Hopefully he's not tripping over Monkey as he goes.]
no subject
Just follow the sound of my voice!
[Into the room Rin goes, voice echoing slightly.]
And ignore the mess. I'll have it cleaned up in a jiffy, so go ahead and make yourself comfortable.
[She means her things, so mainly her pack and several thick books. The bedsheets are a mess as she never bothered to make them, but they haven't been in this town that long, so the rest of the room is fairly clean.
When Sena comes in, Rin's just stuffing a few clothes back into her bag, and seemingly at a loss when she realizes she's missing a sock. Monkey (who makes cure to come in behind Sena, since he's so small) remains in the doorway when he arrives, watching his trainer work with some confusion.]
no subject
[Seriously. He's pretty sure his room is messier than this. Considering he's an average high school student...that's probably true.
Sena carefully toes his way in, blinking when he feels a sock under his foot.] Um...is this yours?
no subject
[She'd been checking the closet when she hears Sena again, and turns her head around.]
Aha! There it is! Thank you; I was just looking for that.
[Circling around the bed, she takes it back from him and stuffs that into her bag too before moving to take the books.]
no subject
[So she's been staying here. But then...]
Um...why are you packing up, though?
[Sena. Sena, honey. Isn't it obvious?]
no subject
Because this is your room now, of course. I know you're sick, but try to keep up.
no subject
[Seriously?!]
Wait, you don't need to do that! What about you?
no subject
I haven't decided what I'll do yet; I'll either pitch a tent in the backyard or take your place at the Pokemon Center, but either way, it'll be fine.
no subject
But...you worked for this place, so...it doesn't feel right...
no subject
It's in my own self-interest.
[Folding her arms, she tosses her hair.] We have to leave this town eventually, and share our food and sleeping areas. If you're not on the way to recovery by then, we could get sick too, and then traveling would be miserable.
Knowing that, this is a good solution. You'll get better faster if you're sleeping in a warm bed, and not on the cold floor.
[Rin, just admit you're worried about him, gosh.]
no subject
[You know, Rin, if you wanted to be worried about him, you don't need to worry about smothering him. He's already well used to Mamori doing that. (For a little too long.)]
S...sorry about this...I'll try and get better quickly...
[Sena that's not how recovering from a cold works.]
no subject
I'll hold you to that. [She grins.] I already have soup on the stove, and I can make some tea. Do you need anything else?
no subject
Oh... [All that? Really?]
The soup is fine...you've already done more than enough, I think...
no subject
[She's not really used to looking out for people. Until recently, the only person she ever had to worry about was herself.]
no subject
[Really over the top. He loves big sis Mamori, but...she really did too much...]
It's enough. Really!
no subject
[She misses him. A lot.]
Okay, then. I won't take it easy on you. [Shaking her head, she waves a hand.] I'll bring you a cup of soup, but after that you're on your own. You better rest up.
no subject
Thanks...Really, I mean it.
