Week 3.

WEEK 3 The past weekend has given people a lot to take in, and a lot to think about. You're permitted to stay at the resort all day on Sunday, should you so choose; relax and replenish yourselves with regards to sleep at least, seeing as it's much more comfortable than the routes or sleeping on the floor of the Pokémon Center. Commander Saturn is gone as of last night, and no one seems to be coming after you - though there is likely something you'll be aware of by the end of the day... Whatever happens, it's evident that you'll have to leave this place eventually, and Monday should find everyone back on Route 213. It's been repeatedly recommended to move toward Pastoria City; whether you believe the source of said urging to be trustworthy or not, it's still a good idea to move in that direction - a city means supplies, after all, a place to restock and spend a few days. Everyone should be able to find Pastoria City by Tuesday afternoon; it's another unfamiliar place, with various things to see and look at over the course of the next few days. It's far smaller than Veilstone, but it borders up to the ocean by way of a small jetty on the southeastern side of town with a few boats moored to it. Otherwise, it's surrounded by forest, and the main path winds its way lazily through town, weaving between personal residences and a few places of business. Of course, it's still not nearly as lively as it should be; the inhabitants here all seem as devoid of spirit as everywhere else; fortunately, a select few of your companions do seem to be perking up a bit - perhaps that's a good sign, in the end. [She looks pleased that he came back with a witty comment and remains crouched there, folding her arms over her knees.]

Ignis was nice enough to make breakfast for everyone, so I promised I'd handle lunch.

[thunderwolf]

That's quite the undertaking. I'm sure none of us will forget the gesture.

[From both Rin and Ignis, of course.]

Did you stop to have some yourself?

[heritrix]

Mm, not yet. Aside from what I taste tested in the kitchen, while I was cooking.

[thunderwolf]

Don't forget to save some for yourself. You put all that work into it.

[Listen to him doting all the sudden.]

[heritrix]

[She's quiet for a moment, like she's not sure she heard him right. Then clearly embarrassed, she chuffs.]

I-It'll be fine. I made a lot, so—

[heritrix]

[At the worst possible time, her stomach growls.]

[thunderwolf]

[Talk about timing indeed. Eustace just raises an eyebrow, not interested in giving Rin a hard time but he's still kinda "Wow" about it.]

Am I the last on your delivery list?

[heritrix]

[Please excuse her while she just silently screams into her hands, hiding her face in mortification.]

You are now! [That comes out muffled, behind her palms.] Hooo. I wanna jump in the ocean...!

[thunderwolf]

[The more mortified Rin gets, the more ??? Eustace gets.]

You're making a big deal out of nothing. Everyone gets hungry.

[And sometimes said hunger gains comedic timing.]

[heritrix]

There are certain noises a girl's body aren't supposed to make, okay? There are rules.

[thunderwolf]

[...this is like talking to Beatrix and Zeta. He doesn't get it at all.

And instead of trying to get it, he just shrugs and rolls with it.]

Well, your secret moment of weakness is safe with me.

...That's a relief. [Still sulking just a little, she mumbles mostly to herself as she looks out across the beach.] And I didn't have to make you swear an oath, or anything.

[Apparently that was a consideration. Good work preempting it, Eustace.]

[heritrix]

[After a moment she sighs deeply and stretches to touch her toes, much calmer.]

I'll get something soon, don't worry. After you've tried everything, just let me know which ones were your favorites, okay? If we get another opportunity like this one day, I might whip something together again.

[thunderwolf]

[He doesn't say anything to the oath comment, but he does manage a light snicker. He might be keeping this secret for Rin, but that doesn't mean he can't arm himself with it for teasing later. To be continued.....

With their conversation wrapping up, he gets to unwrapping a sampling of food.]
