Week 4.
WEEK 4 Backtracking may not seem like an ideal situation, especially not given the situation on Sunday morning, but it isn't without reason or merit; after all, Lake Valor is within a reasonable distance, and perhaps more importantly, there's reason to believe that something may be there. Whether it's one of the Guardians you seek or something else entirely has yet to be seen; there's only one way to know for sure, however. So back onto Route 213 it is; you should reach Route 214 by Tuesday afternoon, and the entrance to Lake Valor by Thursday night; you may want to wait to explore the lakefront proper during the morning, however. Who knows what you may run into... You've seen at least some reasons to not give up hope as you left Pastoria; for the time being, let that hope give you strength. POKEMON AVAILABLE: PLAINS/FOREST / MOUNTAINS/ELEVATED AREAS SUNDAY | MONDAY | TUESDAY | WEDNESDAY | THURSDAY [OOC: Welcome to week four of Azume; feel free to make as many top levels as you'd like and tag out to other characters! This post is for all of your interactions this week... at least until the weekend. Don't forget that a write-up is due next weekend!] |

Once Kiryu finds a clearing, he gets Ni and Daigo aside so they watch the training]
Over here, Bito. I want you to do your best. Push back as strongly as you can.
[Heracross and Kiryu stand face to face. After a moment of staring, Kiryu bolts forward, Heracross opens its wings and flies forward, until they clash. Kiryu grapples the beetle's clawed hands, they push each other as strongly as they can.
After a few seconds Bito is forced to land, burying his talons on the ground, but slowly he's pushed back, leaving grooves on the ground.
This is the man who in future games stops a raging bull with his bare hands]

...Impressive.

Looks like that Heracross is the winner. Kiryu stands up, he seems satisfied even if he was defeated. Maybe he's satisfied because he was defeated]
Good morning.

[She's pretty sure she hasn't, at least?]
They look like they've taken to your style of training.
no subject
It should be an advantage. No Pokemon or trainer will be able to counter unusual styles.

[He says all that without looking at her, Bito manages to pusk Kiryu back a bit. Looks like the Heracross is stronger, he just has been defensive so far]

[ He's... wow. ]
Does that hurt at all?
[ He's just checking, because, he knows if he tried he'd be sporting a few bruises rather quickly. ]

[Bito gets a second air, pushing Kiryu back. He's forced to stumble, although he doesn't let go of Bito's clawed hands]
But that's normal. Fighting always involves some degree of pain.
no subject
[ He takes a small pause.
Kiryu is a strong person, so he should believe in him. He watches him stumble, though, so Ventus decides he'll stay by just in case. ]
...if you can still hold on like that, the person who taught you how to fight must have been pretty strong too.

In the early part of the day she walks along the edge of the beach, taking pictures of things with the Sheikah Slate and comparing it to things in her little battle book to see if she can't figure out if they are water types for sure. For example, she isn't sure what to assume of these strange yellow ducks...? There seems to be about five who look very much in pain in their heads even through their soulless eyes, getting in her way. Uuuh. ]
You might come across her, while camp is set up in the mid afternoon, taking off a top layer of her clothes and carefully heading into the water herself. It's very brisk. But this will allow her to better assess what's around here! Namely, she sees at least three major types of fish as she heads out a little bit further into the water... but that might be concerning? Either way, that's a study she's doing, also taking pictures of them with the Sheikah Slate! Which is apparently water-proof?
Who knows, she's giving it a go and thus in the evening she'll be huddling by the fire in a blanket, matting herself down and sitting with her Lickitung for warm, given the larger thing's body heat. ... And like, well, this might get slime on some people from the saliva, but it's helpful? You could help her more though.

[Psyduck stuck out in Kayneth's mind for a very particular reason.]
I read about those ducks, and they're really strange for a lot of reasons. They're supposed to have psychic powers, but they're not Psychic-type, and that bothers me.
no subject
[ And wow, they sure looked pained despite being deadeyes? Still, she flips through the book she has a few more pages, trying to find a page on them. Here it is! ]

Lend her a hand, will you?

Oh, thank you, Morag! And little one.

Are you cold? [Ignis sat down beside her and held out the long black coat from his uniform; sturdy and thick material, but easy enough to move around in.] Here, if it'll help.
no subject
[ She should towel off her hair more. She shrivers a little but adjusts her shoulders to get the coat on nicer over her with the blanket. As for the Lickitung... it licks the jacket briefly. ]

Hey, Zelda!
[ Ventus gives a small wave. ]
What are you doing over there? Using your Slate thing again?

[ And out in the brisk water as a result, but wow. ]
no subject
Really? Can I see some?
[ He looks at the water before kicking off his shoes and socks -- he even rolls up his pants a little so they don't get wet when he wanders in. ]
... It's cold!
