WEEK 4 Backtracking may not seem like an ideal situation, especially not given the situation on Sunday morning, but it isn't without reason or merit; after all, Lake Valor is within a reasonable distance, and perhaps more importantly, there's reason to believe that something may be there. Whether it's one of the Guardians you seek or something else entirely has yet to be seen; there's only one way to know for sure, however. So back onto Route 213 it is; you should reach Route 214 by Tuesday afternoon, and the entrance to Lake Valor by Thursday night; you may want to wait to explore the lakefront proper during the morning, however. Who knows what you may run into... You've seen at least some reasons to not give up hope as you left Pastoria; for the time being, let that hope give you strength. I guess that bird doesn't really care either way. It's kinda cute, though. Fluffy and... for some reason the clouds look like wings? Lemme check the book and see what it's called.

It's appreciated. [Ignis carefully lifted the bird off his head, shifting it into one arm and brushing his hair back into place with the other hand.] I should really sit down with Zelda or someone and ask about their research sooner rather than later.

[Chelsea digs in her bag, pulls out a book, and flips through some pages.] Ah! That one! "Swablu, the Cotton Bird Pokémon. This Normal- and Flying-type has white, fluffy wings resembling balls of cotton or cu -- cumulative -- cumulus clouds. Their main habitat is forested areas, but around springtime, Swablu can also be found near human cities and towns to search for food. They tend to be well -- uh -- well-socialized and often make habits of cleaning their surroundings and perching on humans." Huh. Guess that makes sense.

Interesting. [He dropped his hand from his hair, opting to pet the listless bird instead.] That doesn't seem like a terrible sign--even if it is only acting automatically, it's better than not acting at all.

No kidding. They're pretty cute, too. Plus I guess they can get a lot stronger if you raise them.
