WEEK 4 Backtracking may not seem like an ideal situation, especially not given the situation on Sunday morning, but it isn't without reason or merit; after all, Lake Valor is within a reasonable distance, and perhaps more importantly, there's reason to believe that something may be there. Whether it's one of the Guardians you seek or something else entirely has yet to be seen; there's only one way to know for sure, however. So back onto Route 213 it is; you should reach Route 214 by Tuesday afternoon, and the entrance to Lake Valor by Thursday night; you may want to wait to explore the lakefront proper during the morning, however. Who knows what you may run into... You've seen at least some reasons to not give up hope as you left Pastoria; for the time being, let that hope give you strength. Yeah, that's right.

You know, when I was a kid, movies had only just started having sound in them. Before that, orchestras would play music for you, and nobody actually talked; dialogue was written on the screen.

I confess, that still sounds miraculous to me. Kayneth needed to explain what a television was to me. ... Does that mean they can record sound and speaking as well?

Yeah, they can.

Honestly, I'm not sure how.

Oh! I wish I could explain more of the technology here...! Or ... in other people's worlds.

I bet you'll be able to figure out the technology here. Reminds a little of Shuri, actually.

She's something of a prodigy.

The technology is so alien to me, perhaps if I had some sort of... basis. Either a book or someone familiar with their inner workings-

[ Err- ] Shuri... is she a friend of yours?

Sort of. She's the younger sister of someone who helped me out.

She's brilliant; easily the smartest person I've ever met. Most of the newer technology in the country is of her design. I think she's around your age, too.

[hyruglyphics]

[ Well that definitely gets a gasp out of her at the idea because that's so cool. She designed the technology, of her own accord? And around her age...? That's so... ]

Oh wow, she truly must be brilliant! I would love to meet her, to gain greater knowledge!

Honestly, I'm sure she'd love to meet you. She likes swapping ideas with people.

I only hope my ideas could be of interest. So much of my study has been in rediscovering or working around the past... to so create the future sounds even more impressive.

Perhaps so. Though we are far off from conspiring that possibility.

It's nice to think about, isn't it?

[Thinking about what they'll do when this is all over, even if that's months away.]

I can't stay here, I have to go home, but sometimes I think about how it would be a nice vacation for Steve.

[ A vacation...? She thinks of it, once more watching the graveler as it finishes digesting the rock. She hasn't thought of the possibility. They are here to fulfill a purpose... right? It is perhaps not the purpose they were called to, but it was the one before them.

Is there an aftermath to that, beyond to rightfully return home?

She pauses a long moment, and then slowly nods. ]

... It is a pleasant thought, I agree.

Yeah.

It helps, for me.

[He sighs.]

Thinking about what I'm going to do after, I me. It's probably impossible, but it keeps me going.

She hums a little, crossing her hands in front of her. ]

I do hope you mean travel between worlds, and not the task before us.

[Bucky smiles wryly.]

Of course. It's hard to be anything but nervous about the mission we've been assigned.

That is so, but I won't stand for it being referred to as impossible.

[ Did he mean that way??? Who knows??? she's putting her foot down though ]

Never said it was, Zelda.

I'm used to seeing seemingly impossible situations resolved by sheer stubbornness and determination.

That's sure been her experience. Well, mostly. Link did have a lot of skill and bravery but - yeah.

She smiles at that, dropping her scolding look to instead...!!
