Week 4.
WEEK 4 Backtracking may not seem like an ideal situation, especially not given the situation on Sunday morning, but it isn't without reason or merit; after all, Lake Valor is within a reasonable distance, and perhaps more importantly, there's reason to believe that something may be there. Whether it's one of the Guardians you seek or something else entirely has yet to be seen; there's only one way to know for sure, however. So back onto Route 213 it is; you should reach Route 214 by Tuesday afternoon, and the entrance to Lake Valor by Thursday night; you may want to wait to explore the lakefront proper during the morning, however. Who knows what you may run into... You've seen at least some reasons to not give up hope as you left Pastoria; for the time being, let that hope give you strength. POKEMON AVAILABLE: PLAINS/FOREST / MOUNTAINS/ELEVATED AREAS SUNDAY | MONDAY | TUESDAY | WEDNESDAY | THURSDAY [OOC: Welcome to week four of Azume; feel free to make as many top levels as you'd like and tag out to other characters! This post is for all of your interactions this week... at least until the weekend. Don't forget that a write-up is due next weekend!] |

[He actually seems a little uncomfortable talking about it?]
It’s also called “the eternal shriek”. Because of all the screaming.
no subject
Sounds horrific.
[What the fuck?? What the fuck.]

[He’s suddenly very interested in re-adjusting his tie.]

I bet this world would be all right to stay in, if the people here were... normal. I couldn't stay here, but I'm tempted to drag my friend here, if we fix this. When we fix this.

If it was possible for you...
But we'd have to assume a god brought us, for that to work for your friends.
no subject
[sigh]
I don’t know. I might be able to make new bodies for them, same as mine, but it’d take forever and they wouldn’t age...well. Not worth worrying about now, I guess. But you, I bet you could get a nice plot of land out of the whole world-saving thing.
no subject
I already have a nice plot of land.
Home isn't really a place for me, anyway.

[and we just sorta covered a big reason, probably no need to return to that topic]
Do you think you would miss it, if you and your friend came to live here?
no subject
[He pauses.]
...No. I don't think I'd miss it much at all, to be honest. I know King T'Challa means well, but he'll pull me back into combat, eventually. And I'd happily spend the rest of my life never fighting again.
no subject
I thought you were American?
no subject
I can't exactly go back to America. It's complicated.
no subject
No, I understand. Generally, I suppose. [He thinks for a moment, then inclines his head.] Things were much easier when I was just home doing normal demon things. But I guess I don’t really miss it, either.
no subject
I'm still working on it, myself, but... it's preferable to how things were before.

[.....]
I spent a long time not being my own person. I'm still trying to remember what it's like.

[You know, before they all became fugitives because Steve wanted to save Bucky.
The completely heterosexual thing to do.]
Sam, that's his name. He'd tell me not to get worked up about it.

[Michael you can’t just ask people why they aren’t buddies with their buddy’s buds]
no subject
Nah, not really.
no subject
Well. I've conducted extensive studies on humans, you know, and one of my major findings was that you're incredibly difficult to quash as long as you've got any sort of social structure to lean on. Not even people you're initially close with, necessarily.
[that was probably meant to be encouraging somewhere in the disturbingly scientific tone]
no subject
Something like that, yeah.
no subject
[He grins like they're on the same page, which is somewhere good now?]
It's like... [Ooooh. He clasps his hands together for a moment.] ...the real lake gods are the friends we made along the way.
[this is one of his better tries honestly]
no subject
Friends made along the way indeed.]
We've got to stick together somehow, right?
