Week 4.

WEEK 4

Backtracking may not seem like an ideal situation, especially not given the situation on Sunday morning, but it isn't without reason or merit; after all, Lake Valor is within a reasonable distance, and perhaps more importantly, there's reason to believe that something may be there. Whether it's one of the Guardians you seek or something else entirely has yet to be seen; there's only one way to know for sure, however.

So back onto Route 213 it is; you should reach Route 214 by Tuesday afternoon, and the entrance to Lake Valor by Thursday night; you may want to wait to explore the lakefront proper during the morning, however. Who knows what you may run into...

You've seen at least some reasons to not give up hope as you left Pastoria; for the time being, let that hope give you strength.

CURRENT LOCATION: ROUTE 214
POKEMON AVAILABLE: PLAINS/FOREST / MOUNTAINS/ELEVATED AREAS

SUNDAY | MONDAY | TUESDAY | WEDNESDAY | THURSDAY
[OOC: Welcome to week four of Azume; feel free to make as many top levels as you'd like and tag out to other characters! This post is for all of your interactions this week... at least until the weekend. Don't forget that a write-up is due next weekend!]

Oh-! Oh, Miphanus, you did it!

[ SMILE. She smiles, and even claps for her companion. They really managed it! The Beldum looks a little apologetic at Monta for a moment (and wary at the fire on its butt) but then reaches out to ... nudge the stick. With its eye. ]

[Sena himself winces at the tackle, but he can't help but grin a bit when Monta gets up disconsolately. It's such a familiar sight.]

That's a failed pass, it seems...Nice work. [A giggle.] Maybe they're a natural. Although now that the stick's hit the ground, it doesn't count...

[Also...please don't poke out your eye, Miphanus.]
hyruglyphics: (keywords here?)

[personal profile] hyruglyphics 2018-07-02 02:20 am (UTC)(link)
[ Well it has steel eyelids it'll probably be okay.

But. ]

I think they simply followed instruction well! Good work!
swiftasacoursingkawa: icon by <user name=kufufutofu =livejournal.com> (a little gentle smile)

[personal profile] swiftasacoursingkawa 2018-07-02 02:27 am (UTC)(link)
Yeah, definitely. It was a really good first run. [And then calling out to the Pokemon.] Good try, guys! Come back!

[Monta still looks a little sour, although it does seem to be a good enough sport to help Miphanus pick up the stick. And uh...put it on the top of its body, like Miphanus is some sort of carrying tray. Huh.

meanwhile vee is just plodding back like she does.]
hyruglyphics: (some other icons might be there)

[personal profile] hyruglyphics 2018-07-02 02:35 am (UTC)(link)
Yes, please return, Miphanus!

[ Miphanus makes an almost curious beep at that, and... well. this stick is not metal. It can't be magnetized? So ... carefully trying to balance it is go. it's hard? But it shall try. ]

[personal profile] swiftasacoursingkawa 2018-07-02 03:04 am (UTC)(link)
[Do your best, Miphanus! Monta actually follows behind the Beldum to make sure that stick isn't falling, so that means Vee is the one who comes back first, waiting dutifully for the stick to be thrown.]
hyruglyphics: (Too much to remember)

[personal profile] hyruglyphics 2018-07-02 03:05 am (UTC)(link)
[ Balance...

Balance....

.......!

Okay, they make it back over! Good! ]
swiftasacoursingkawa: icon by <user name=kufufutofu =livejournal.com> (what. what is it)

[personal profile] swiftasacoursingkawa 2018-07-02 03:31 am (UTC)(link)
Aha, thanks... [Sena takes the stick carefully.]

I think having you play with the others adds a new dimension to this training. Monta and Vee haven't had to go up against anyone before this...
hyruglyphics: (idk man)

[personal profile] hyruglyphics 2018-07-02 03:47 am (UTC)(link)
I'd offer ... Lickitung to help, but I don't think she would comprehend the game.

[ SO... you know. ]
swiftasacoursingkawa: icon by <user name=kufufutofu =livejournal.com> (that's...um...)

[personal profile] swiftasacoursingkawa 2018-07-03 12:30 am (UTC)(link)
[Lickitu...oh right. The giant tongue monster.]

I wonder if she'd...eat the stick, actually...
hyruglyphics: (I mean some look okay?)

[personal profile] hyruglyphics 2018-07-03 01:08 am (UTC)(link)
She... may well try, honestly.

[ You know.... you know.... ]
swiftasacoursingkawa: icon by <user name=kufufutofu =livejournal.com> (sorry!)

[personal profile] swiftasacoursingkawa 2018-07-03 01:21 am (UTC)(link)
...Oh.

[He was...joking...mostly...]

Maybe later, when she's gotten a little more aware of things, she could play too. I mean, if she wanted...
hyruglyphics: (nearly at 50!!)

[personal profile] hyruglyphics 2018-07-03 01:24 am (UTC)(link)
If he tongue would be permitted for use, she would probably be very efficient. I've measured it and I believe hers can stretch for two meters!

[ IT'S A TWO METER LONG STICKY ARM BASICALLY.... ]
swiftasacoursingkawa: icon by <user name=kufufutofu =livejournal.com> (bwuh?)

[personal profile] swiftasacoursingkawa 2018-07-03 01:37 am (UTC)(link)
Huh...Actually, I dunno how a lot of Pokemon would work with football, actually...

[is a tongue considered a limb. Uhhh. She's actually making him think of Habashira now, but even that guy didn't use his tongue...]

I think as long as it's caught before either the ball or your knees touch the ground, it's considered fine. Although a two-meter limb sounds like...a really big advantage.
hyruglyphics: (weeee)

[personal profile] hyruglyphics 2018-07-03 01:39 am (UTC)(link)
Surely if we're playing with Pokemon, there must be allowances for their physicality...? After all, Miphanus can float and then there are others, like the ghost types, who could become intangible. It's merely a part of who they are, the same as how Rito fly or Zora swim efficiently...?
swiftasacoursingkawa: icon by <user name=divisionsix =livejournal.com> (but look at this cute bb)

[personal profile] swiftasacoursingkawa 2018-07-03 01:53 am (UTC)(link)
...You're right about that...

[Thinking about it, it can be said that Pokemon follow their own rules...]

Actually...playing a game together with Pokemon sounds really fun! I can only imagine the challenges...
hyruglyphics: (I mean some look okay?)

[personal profile] hyruglyphics 2018-07-03 01:58 am (UTC)(link)
I'm confident you can think of something, at least, for how much and how efficiently you've had Monta and Vee run around.

[ Heh heh. ]
swiftasacoursingkawa: icon by <user name=kufufutofu =livejournal.com> (a little gentle smile)

[personal profile] swiftasacoursingkawa 2018-07-03 02:11 am (UTC)(link)
Ahaha...

[He grins softly.]

Eustace actually suggested I use these pass routes in the way I battle, so I'm thinking about doing that, too...
hyruglyphics: (YEET)

[personal profile] hyruglyphics 2018-07-03 02:17 am (UTC)(link)
Should you choose to battle... that might well be an idea. I've never had a talent for battle, so I don't have appropriate skills, but it seems wise to play to your strengths.
swiftasacoursingkawa: icon by <user name=divisionsix =livejournal.com> (but look at this cute bb)

[personal profile] swiftasacoursingkawa 2018-07-03 04:04 am (UTC)(link)
Well...my strength is just running. Being fast.

[He laughs sheepishly.]

I guess that helps Pokemon a lot, though...
hyruglyphics: (idk man)

[personal profile] hyruglyphics 2018-07-03 04:07 am (UTC)(link)
It can be useful to anyone, in the right situation!
