[ So like, that was all something, right? A confrontation with the souls of the damned, and then a battle with a former gym leader, and finally, a meeting with a god. Even as they plan to leave, the sky is dark with storm clouds. The day seems to conspire to create barriers for the group. But even so, to many it may seem as if the evening is a hopeful one.

One of the lake guardians has been restored and the group has completed - after a month - the initial task that Cynthia gave them. They found one of the gym leaders, and learned there were those who fought for this world (even if they did lose) and still can be broken free from the control. All in all, it's mixed, but the mood isn't necessarily unpleasant, despite the rolls of thunder overhead.

However, said rain and thunder does mean it ends up seeming more sound to camp here in the cave. It's not necessarily comfortable, but there are those those who can pitch a tent or two and others who can make fires. Some people might have food provisions, or are able to make more for the group with their existing supplies or forage.

Though that said, the most remarkable thing of the night is obviously going to be that strange pulse of ... something which comes over everyone. And then, of course, the sounds of these eggs hatching . . . ]

Yeah, probably! It's pretty sad, though. Being born with no feelings. How are we gonna know what a baby Pokémon needs if it isn't crying for it?

We'll just have to be extra perceptive to their needs; it will be like taking care of a child, if a rather quiet one.

I haven't yet, no...usually I have been taking the names of wyvern riders from history to name my darlings. I like to think that it helps me feel closer to them...

It would probably help if I knew just what this little one was, but I want to make sure I give them the best possible name, I believe.

Yeah, all my book has is local Pokémon. Like this one's called a Spheal, though they're definitely not common around here. It's Water and Ice, though I don't get how it looks Ice-ish. Yours... hmm, maybe it's Ground or something? Or Normal?

Ground seems like a good guess...they look rather similar to Arion, as well. Perhaps they're a dark type like he seems to be...?

Maybe! Guess you have an affinity for them, if that's the case.

It's not a bad affinity to have...though I admit, if Maylene or anything else with a fighting type winds up our adversary again, I don't quite look forward to the outcome. It would be rather nasty.

Just means the rest of us gotta diversify! Like I have all different types, a bunch of others do, too. Like, Psychic and Flying are good against Fighting, who has those?

I believe Ignis may have obtained a flying type, as of recently...you didn't happen to see a little bird perched on his head, did you? And Kayneth obviously has that crow.

Yeah, the Swablu! Apparently, they like perching on people's heads and cleaning their surroundings. I mean, when they like anything. They can grow up to get pretty strong, too.

Oh, is it one of the sort that evolves? I must admit, having something like that around would be wonderful to keep a tidy bearing...

Yeah! Sunflower's supposed to evolve, too, but the book said that happens with a strong bond with the trainer, so it's gonna take a while.

Don't lose hope, sweetie. I'm sure that they'll open up to you in due time; they must at least know of how sweet and earnest you are toward them. Once they can register it, of course.
