Eggterparty
[ So like, that was all something, right? A confrontation with the souls of the damned, and then a battle with a former gym leader, and finally, a meeting with a god. Even as they plan to leave, the sky is dark with storm clouds. The day seems to conspire to create barriers for the group. But even so, to many it may seem as if the evening is a hopeful one.
One of the lake guardians has been restored and the group has completed - after a month - the initial task that Cynthia gave them. They found one of the gym leaders, and learned there were those who fought for this world (even if they did lose) and still can be broken free from the control. All in all, it's mixed, but the mood isn't necessarily unpleasant, despite the rolls of thunder overhead.
However, said rain and thunder does mean it ends up seeming more sound to camp here in the cave. It's not necessarily comfortable, but there are those those who can pitch a tent or two and others who can make fires. Some people might have food provisions, or are able to make more for the group with their existing supplies or forage.
Though that said, the most remarkable thing of the night is obviously going to be that strange pulse of ... something which comes over everyone. And then, of course, the sounds of these eggs hatching . . . ]

Camilla's voice softens a few registers as well, if mostly to ensure nobody overhears.]
Ah, so it was an unpleasant reminder, then. [She remembers what he described of the gods, and how they could be, and...well, her mind draws a few conclusions of it's own.] Did something happen the last time you heard them, or...?

[He adjusted his sunglasses in a restless habit that was perhaps a bit telling this time.]
I don't know why I was given a vision like that--more like a warning. Not when there was so little I could do to change anything. But Azelf's voice, and all this rain--it's not a comforting reminder.

[Ohhhh boy, that's not a good thing, now is it. No, it seems. Kind of concerning? Especially if it's connected to why he's acted so weird in the past, maybe...]
You do not have to go further into...that, if you do not wish. But I can see where it would get a terrible reaction, indeed. It stings to have such painful reminders.

Would you care for a distraction, perhaps? Color me curious about something.

[Ignis didn't seem like he wanted to give up much more in the way of specifics on the matter, pushing his hair back into place.]
What is it you wanted to know?

Why don't you tell me a bit about your partners, then? Perhaps Hemera, to start? She's always by your side, so I imagine you know her quite well, even despite the world's state.
[let's talk cute shit!!]

[Ignis's hand moved to the Absol on the ground beside him, petting her idly.] It's easier to track what kind of terrain we're dealing with when she's walking ahead of me.

You two must have a system of sorts worked out between you, then? That way she can signal you when there's something you wouldn't want to bump into. She certainly sounds like a very helpful darling...and she's adorable, as well.
[seriously, lookit all that fluff.]

[He smiled slightly, looking in Camilla's direction.]
I do like dogs, though I've never had one myself. And most of ours don't have what I'm presuming is a horn, though my guess is that's more battle-oriented.

Dogs typically are perfect for the hunting sort, from what little I know of them. We never had any around the castle, but they do appear to be very loyal creatures...and perhaps rather enthusiastic ones, as well.
[Camilla looks at the Absol when he mentions the horn, making a small noise in contemplation.]
It does look that way. I'm unfamiliar with the species, but if her claws aren't enough to render her enemies a non-issue, I believe that horn would do an exceptional job...it looks like a small, curved blade, really.
