[ So like, that was all something, right? A confrontation with the souls of the damned, and then a battle with a former gym leader, and finally, a meeting with a god. Even as they plan to leave, the sky is dark with storm clouds. The day seems to conspire to create barriers for the group. But even so, to many it may seem as if the evening is a hopeful one.

One of the lake guardians has been restored and the group has completed - after a month - the initial task that Cynthia gave them. They found one of the gym leaders, and learned there were those who fought for this world (even if they did lose) and still can be broken free from the control. All in all, it's mixed, but the mood isn't necessarily unpleasant, despite the rolls of thunder overhead.

However, said rain and thunder does mean it ends up seeming more sound to camp here in the cave. It's not necessarily comfortable, but there are those those who can pitch a tent or two and others who can make fires. Some people might have food provisions, or are able to make more for the group with their existing supplies or forage.

Though that said, the most remarkable thing of the night is obviously going to be that strange pulse of ... something which comes over everyone. And then, of course, the sounds of these eggs hatching . . . ]

[He still pets the poor thing, giving it full attention. Henrietta doesn't seem to be paying much attention, but Flora is sitting nearby, watching him curiously.]

Yeah... Hope this at least means we can bond with them easier. It's so sad watching this, isn't it?

Yeah. This isn't a great situation. The poor things.

And these little ones don't even know what they're missing. We're the only ones who can help any of it.

I'm hoping maybe our partners will be able to tell them about it. I know Flora has made progress in the past month.

You think? Yeah, I hope so! And we could bond with 'em faster 'cause they're babies, maybe.

Maybe. That's how it works normally, at least. Babies are pretty impressionable, especially social animals.

Makes as much sense as anything. They definitely look cute, and we can teach them to battle and everything, too.

[Bucky makes a face at the mention of battling.]

I don't really understand that, to be honest.

But I'm sure we can help the animals out.

Yeah, I guess it is pretty weird. But they like it, and things they like will help them get their feelings back. As long as we treat them well, though, I doubt we have to do anything specific, and that includes battling.

Probably. I can't tell what sort of personalities the other two have, but Flora at least hasn't given any indication she wants to do anything like that.

Lemonade's kinda chicken of everything these days, or at least cautious. I guess I can't talk, I keep running away 'cause I can't fight.

That's a good strategy. Better to stay safe than get hurt.

Guess every group probably needs someone helping them get away if they need to, huh?
