Eggterparty
[ So like, that was all something, right? A confrontation with the souls of the damned, and then a battle with a former gym leader, and finally, a meeting with a god. Even as they plan to leave, the sky is dark with storm clouds. The day seems to conspire to create barriers for the group. But even so, to many it may seem as if the evening is a hopeful one.
One of the lake guardians has been restored and the group has completed - after a month - the initial task that Cynthia gave them. They found one of the gym leaders, and learned there were those who fought for this world (even if they did lose) and still can be broken free from the control. All in all, it's mixed, but the mood isn't necessarily unpleasant, despite the rolls of thunder overhead.
However, said rain and thunder does mean it ends up seeming more sound to camp here in the cave. It's not necessarily comfortable, but there are those those who can pitch a tent or two and others who can make fires. Some people might have food provisions, or are able to make more for the group with their existing supplies or forage.
Though that said, the most remarkable thing of the night is obviously going to be that strange pulse of ... something which comes over everyone. And then, of course, the sounds of these eggs hatching . . . ]

[ The smallest oh that he's ever made, but it is one nonetheless. It wasn't something he had expected, but different places work differently, so... ]
...Did you guys have to wage a lot of wars?

[Camilla is...honestly very distant when she says that much, though. It's probably clear that there's little approval behind such a thing.]
...Father's ways are known only to him, but...I want to believe he had our land's best interest at heart by doing this.
[She doesn't sound like she believes in it.]

[ Whoops that is out before he can think more to not, but...yeah.
There's a small pause as he turns his attention to the rain and then back to her. ]
I think in this case that it's okay to do things differently from how they were done back home. Less wars mean less people getting hurt, right?
[ Ventus hopes they can manage to keep managing to talk things out...or do a combination of battling (if they have to) and talking it out. Even that seemed easier than an all-out war, to be fair. ]

[No good father would have ever made her fight her sweet sister, would he? He wouldn't have done any of this, to them, to...
Camilla's face goes noticeably downcast for a moment, there, but she forces herself to perk back up and give a slightly apologetic look to Ventus.]
Do allow me to apologize for bringing your mood down. You're absolutely right; if we can solve these ordeals as peacefully as possible, no one will get hurt. I believe that's what anyone would want, in this situation.

It's okay. I'm glad you mentioned it, actually. That way I know that I can try to help, which is definitely better than being unable to.
[ The smile turns into a grin now. ]
But yeah, I think it totally is too, and how we're going to continue to show those jerks whose boss.

[It's enough to make Camilla try to ruffle his hair, if he'll allow it.]
It's worked well for us thus far. If it sees us through to the end...perhaps we could help everyone, even those who are so tightly woven in Cyrus's coil. Wouldn't that be wonderful...

[ Ventus puts on a bit of a pout, but yes, he'll definitely allow it, smiling a little right after. Something about it reminds him of back home.
He also nods, in enthusiasm at her other words. ]
Yeah! I think we can do that too. It'll get rough sometimes, but what that big jerk did isn't irreversible...it's never too late to save someone from something like this.
