Week 6.
WEEK 6 One thing is going to be made abundantly clear this week: the routes you're traveling are cold. Through Monday night, you'll likely find it best to skirt around the foot of that massive mountain that lies immediately to the east of Eterna City; it looks treacherous, and while some of you may be up to the trip, it's probably best to not waste your energy before you get anywhere near Lake Acuity. The journey is going to be a long one before you get there, but the first few days will see you making good time, actually. Between that and the noticeable changes to the world, maybe it won't be so bad...? ...Or not. Tuesday morning and beyond is where the hell sets in for those of you that aren't used to or don't like the cold. The routes are full of perpetual snowfall; it isn't heavy, given the time of year, but the fact of the matter is that it's still coming down, and the snow is piled up directly on the route clear up to the average person's waist. It makes traveling slow going, though if you have a fire-type it might be feasible to clear a bit more of a path - be careful with that, though, because all the runoff has to go somewhere, and it's possible that you'll just make the path icy in the end. Either way, it's cold, due to the snowfall you're going to be wet, and traveling is going to be very, very slow; here's hoping whatever's at that lake is worth it, in the end. ...Wherever the lake may actually happen to lie; no matter where you look on the way to Snowpoint City, you won't find an entrance to it... POKEMON AVAILABLE: MOUNTAINS/ELEVATED AREAS / SNOWY TERRAIN SUNDAY | MONDAY | TUESDAY | WEDNESDAY | THURSDAY | FRIDAY [OOC: Welcome to week six of Azume; feel free to make as many top levels as you'd like and tag out to other characters! Well, this is silly, isn't it.]
...You looked so tense, that I thought it best to ask in case you did not wish to raise an alarm. I can report that I have not seen anything out of the ordinary, however.
[...]
Are you quite alright?
no subject
[Just for reference.]
It's just been some time since I was heading somewhere quite this cold. Perhaps it has me a bit on my guard.

[Camilla kind of gets it, even if she's kind of used to the idea of cold, anyway. Though it gets some curiosity out of her.]
I do hope this isn't too nasty a reminder, however...?

[...]
It's alright. I'll be fine.

[Camilla seems...at least willing to give that much. Even if it sounds utterly reluctant.]
I'm used to these sort of temperatures in Nohr; we don't get much in the way of the sun's warmth. Something like this almost feels like home.

And...you're alright with that? It's just normal in your country?
no subject
Yeah, that's. Getting a noticeable pause.]
...That's simply the way it has always been. The land itself borders on inhospitable because of it; I wager if the sun showed itself more than once in a while, things would be different.
[No more worrying about supplies, about the people of their country, maybe they could live in as much abundance as those damned Hoshidans--]
...If I may be blunt, I'm not okay with such a thing. But I don't think one can simply change what has always been.
no subject
...Perhaps not. And if it can be changed, obviously it would be far from any simple task.

It's both nice and kind of terrifying? It makes her want to say more, to finally just have a chance to talk about all of the things whipping about her mind as they get ever closer to solving what has become of Sinnoh and restoring it to it's former glory. It's almost shameful, really.
But...]
...It's unlikely that anything would change under Father's rule.
[That's. A start, at least.]
If things were to come close to starting...Xander would likely need to ascend.
no subject
[hey let's talk about things that aren't the literal absence of sunlight. that's a good start!]
What's he like?
no subject
[you know what, she is cool with this and her tone even goes slightly fond, this is a good subject]
He's the strongest of all of us; physically, and emotionally. He's the sort of man who stands true to his convictions, and he is the model of what a king should aspire to be. His role as the crown prince is something he takes incredibly seriously; he's trained for years to get to where he is today, and anyone who would dishonor Nohr would make an enemy of him in an instant.
[...]
...I do worry that the war has taken it's toll on him, but...I know he's strong enough to carry on.

[Ignis gave her a small smile, adjusting his glasses.]
The protection of the kingdom puts a strain on even the greatest of rulers. The best remedy is but the support of those who stand with him.
no subject
[There's no bite or sarcasm in that--it's just something very simple, perhaps even approving in it.]
Xander would like you, I think, should circumstances ever allow the two of you to meet. I think he would be able to learn much from both yourself, and Noctis...and your words would even make him pleased to hear it.
Of course, he does have our eternal support. Even now, he knows that very well.
