Week 6.
WEEK 6 One thing is going to be made abundantly clear this week: the routes you're traveling are cold. Through Monday night, you'll likely find it best to skirt around the foot of that massive mountain that lies immediately to the east of Eterna City; it looks treacherous, and while some of you may be up to the trip, it's probably best to not waste your energy before you get anywhere near Lake Acuity. The journey is going to be a long one before you get there, but the first few days will see you making good time, actually. Between that and the noticeable changes to the world, maybe it won't be so bad...? ...Or not. Tuesday morning and beyond is where the hell sets in for those of you that aren't used to or don't like the cold. The routes are full of perpetual snowfall; it isn't heavy, given the time of year, but the fact of the matter is that it's still coming down, and the snow is piled up directly on the route clear up to the average person's waist. It makes traveling slow going, though if you have a fire-type it might be feasible to clear a bit more of a path - be careful with that, though, because all the runoff has to go somewhere, and it's possible that you'll just make the path icy in the end. Either way, it's cold, due to the snowfall you're going to be wet, and traveling is going to be very, very slow; here's hoping whatever's at that lake is worth it, in the end. ...Wherever the lake may actually happen to lie; no matter where you look on the way to Snowpoint City, you won't find an entrance to it... POKEMON AVAILABLE: MOUNTAINS/ELEVATED AREAS / SNOWY TERRAIN SUNDAY | MONDAY | TUESDAY | WEDNESDAY | THURSDAY | FRIDAY [OOC: Welcome to week six of Azume; feel free to make as many top levels as you'd like and tag out to other characters! [ Okay, running photo... no, that one's blurry! She needs to get ahead?! Miphanus the Beldum is floating in pace with her (actually over the edge a little but like... it can float, so it's fine) but she needs to get further head. Maybe...
Hmmm, this is just a straight path by a cliffside... Where can they advance? Maybe the Onix will slow for something, it does seem to move at a gradual pace. ]

[Zelda darling you are doing her a concern, and worse yet as Duma cheerfully hops closer and closer to the edge of the cliff, only barely kept on the path by Emmeryn's harsh,] Duma, get back, [like she's scolding an especially unruly child. It doesn't stop Emmeryn from following Zelda, though, not much wanting her too far out of arm's reach. Her enthusiasm is marvelous buuuut...]
Ah—Having trouble getting it just right?

Yes- I am. I hope that they'll stop somewhere soon...
[ But okay, she stops here just because there doesn't seem to be a good place to move on from here... there's a bridge ahead they could get on going over the canyon, but...
Huh. it looks a little bit shaking under the thing crashing lightly into the walls of the canyon. Hmmm. ]
I got several so far, but they don't look the best.

Enough, Duma—What's gotten into you?
[please it's like trying to keep a stupid toddler from drowning itself]
It may not be safe to keep going in this direction... Surely it will have to slow down soon enough, though, and there are only so many directions it can go in. I'm sure you haven't lost your chance to get a better image just yet.

Until the Onix makes to burrow into the cliff wall. There's an existing cave there, but it's intending to dig it out a little more to slip in there. It's across the way on the other cliff on the far side of the bridge, but wow.
... also Duma what you doing there... ]
Oh wow.

Fortunately, the commotion distracts him, too, so he doesn't get to take the moment Emmeryn spends watching the Onix burrow away to launch himself into the fucking valley.
She's quiet a moment, a little awed.]
...A sight worth the chase, certainly. What a powerful beast.

[ She can't help but clap lightly at the sight, marveling at how relatively quickly the serpentine rock creature moves into and then through the walls of the cliffside. She even sets the slate back to her hips, knowing she won't be able to capture this in the photo rune properly. It's too much action.
Miphanus beside her floats out to a bit in front of her too, apparently similarly awed. ]
