Week 6.

WEEK 6 One thing is going to be made abundantly clear this week: the routes you're traveling are cold. Through Monday night, you'll likely find it best to skirt around the foot of that massive mountain that lies immediately to the east of Eterna City; it looks treacherous, and while some of you may be up to the trip, it's probably best to not waste your energy before you get anywhere near Lake Acuity. The journey is going to be a long one before you get there, but the first few days will see you making good time, actually. Between that and the noticeable changes to the world, maybe it won't be so bad...? ...Or not. Tuesday morning and beyond is where the hell sets in for those of you that aren't used to or don't like the cold. The routes are full of perpetual snowfall; it isn't heavy, given the time of year, but the fact of the matter is that it's still coming down, and the snow is piled up directly on the route clear up to the average person's waist. It makes traveling slow going, though if you have a fire-type it might be feasible to clear a bit more of a path - be careful with that, though, because all the runoff has to go somewhere, and it's possible that you'll just make the path icy in the end. Either way, it's cold, due to the snowfall you're going to be wet, and traveling is going to be very, very slow; here's hoping whatever's at that lake is worth it, in the end. ...Wherever the lake may actually happen to lie; no matter where you look on the way to Snowpoint City, you won't find an entrance to it... So he made a random egg appear out of nowhere, and it was already cooked. [...well alright. Better try to roll with this weird situation. Could be worse!] I guess you have something for dinner tonight, if it's edible for humans too.

[It's not a small egg, after all!]

[Michael's lip curls a little.]

It's on the ground. Being pecked by a bird. You can eat it if you want.

Can't you tell him to make another one?

[He thought that was obvious!]

I could...

[He doesn't see the mystery egg as all that appealing to begin with, but if you want?]

Do it again. [There's a second egg now.]

...again. [Kiryu why did you start this]

Don't turn eggs into some kind of hobby.

[Even though it's really mesmerizing to see this happen, in some sort of bizarre, mindboggling way. As if to convince himself these are real eggs, he picks one up. Rather large, for an egg. Still fits in one hand, but it's larger than normal eggs]

...guess it wouldn't hurt to give this a bite.

[He's growing more curious by the minute, yep]

Oh my god, Kiryu. Do it.

Better me than you?

[He just hopes he won't regret this. With some hesitation, Kiryu cracks the egg open, stares into it, and nom.

After the first bite he stops, looks at the egg for a moment, surprised, and devours the rest. This is a good egg! So good! How can an egg taste so good? Once he's done he seems very satisfied]

That's the best egg I have had in a long time.

[eudaimonikos]

Oh, of course.

[He's smiling, though his expression turns more thoughtful (and maybe a tad grossed out) as Kiryu proceeds to just fucking devour that egg.]

You can't be serious...?

I am serious! I had no idea eggs could be so good.

[You must have seen worse things than a man eating a weird mystery egg, Michael, don't judge, haha!]

[Eating is a little gross at the best of times.]

........oh, fine. Quaver, make me an egg. [But he leans down and opens his hand, so it isn't created in the dirt.]

I would take another back in case someone wanted it, but I doubt many would dare to give it a try.

[Because, you know, strange egg. Even if Kiryu just proved it's not poisonous -- at least immediately after eating -- it'd be silly if others gave it a try too. They're not like Kazuma 'brings a pizza instead of a visa' Kiryu]

[Michael cracks the top of the shell off his egg delicately, with one fingernail, and inspects it. Looks egg-like.]

I can't believe you ate that entire thing. It's huge. [Should he...he'll take a teeny tiny nibble. He just wants to know?]

[takestheblame]

[Do it, Michael, it's a nutritious egg!]

Never had the feeling of wanting to finish eating something as soon as possible? Like a good burger or the third meat bowl of the meal?

[It's part of being human, Michael]

Not particularly. We aren't really gourmets, back home.

[He takes a cautious nibble.]

......that is good.

Told you it was good.

[He's surprised these aren't more widespread in the Pokemart. It'd be very popular -- and then he'll feel bad once he finds out that's exactly why Chansey are uncommon in the wild]

Oh my god, I hate how good this is! It has to be evil!

[He takes another bite though, he's evil too so]
