Week 6.
WEEK 6 One thing is going to be made abundantly clear this week: the routes you're traveling are cold. Through Monday night, you'll likely find it best to skirt around the foot of that massive mountain that lies immediately to the east of Eterna City; it looks treacherous, and while some of you may be up to the trip, it's probably best to not waste your energy before you get anywhere near Lake Acuity. The journey is going to be a long one before you get there, but the first few days will see you making good time, actually. Between that and the noticeable changes to the world, maybe it won't be so bad...? ...Or not. Tuesday morning and beyond is where the hell sets in for those of you that aren't used to or don't like the cold. The routes are full of perpetual snowfall; it isn't heavy, given the time of year, but the fact of the matter is that it's still coming down, and the snow is piled up directly on the route clear up to the average person's waist. It makes traveling slow going, though if you have a fire-type it might be feasible to clear a bit more of a path - be careful with that, though, because all the runoff has to go somewhere, and it's possible that you'll just make the path icy in the end. Either way, it's cold, due to the snowfall you're going to be wet, and traveling is going to be very, very slow; here's hoping whatever's at that lake is worth it, in the end. ...Wherever the lake may actually happen to lie; no matter where you look on the way to Snowpoint City, you won't find an entrance to it... [He could cry. Why can't his Pokemon chill out for even one second?]
They just started fighting suddenly...
[Vee lets go of Monta once Sena picks her up, and she looks down at Arion like she didn't just bite her partner's hand a few seconds ago.]
"This big dude's claiming that he's Monta."
"I AM MONTA!!!"
"See?"
no subject
['Assist'. Ha. That's a funny word, Camilla.
Anyway, ignoring the words coming from Camilla's mouth, Arion...well, he can't see, so he just kind of sniffs between the two for a moment.]
"...Okay, see. Lemme make it easy, dumb-dumb. This one probably is Monta. He just grew a lot because he got stronger."
[arion you could've said that a little nicer--]
"So can you stop yappin'? Look, he's probably just as smelly as you remember, right?"
no subject
[He blanches as Monta lets out a loud squeal, probably because he was just called smelly.]
...He does a lot of things quickly.
[Meanwhile, Vee's nose scrunches.]
"What's a 'dumb-dumb'?" [Although...] "That is the same burnt charcoal smell, though, you are right..."
"HEY!"
no subject
...It sounds like your dear is about as impulsive as mine. You have my sympathies, sweetheart; it can make them quite hard to deal with.
[Meanwhile...]
"A dumb-dumb is what you are! A dumb-dumb. Dumb-dumbs cause fights and do stupid stuff."
[Of course, Arion does look over at Monta and sniff again, recoiling just a bit at the scent.]
"You do smell like burning, though. Very very smelly burning."
no subject
[Vee honestly looks like she's trying very hard to parse what Arion is claiming.]
"But that sounds like Monta, though?"
[...Well, she's not wrong. But the point Arion was trying to make has clearly gone over her head.
Meanwhile, Monta is crossing his arms and posing.]
"That's 'cause I've been working hard all day, duh! If it wasn't for me, you'd have to trudge through all that snow!"
[And that would be slow and terrible.
Monta's melted paths, however, are also terrible because they aren't straight and even and instead zig-zaggy and convoluted.]

[...Camilla is not used to the concept of sports outside of being silly games for children to play, regale her with your knowledge--
Anyway, gods, this is a disaster. If Arion had eyes, they'd be rolling, but he only growls a little bit at the response.]
"See, that's what makes you a dumb-dumb. Ugh."
[Anyway--]
"I didn't have to trudge through that snow anyway! My human carried me after I asked her to, so I didn't have to deal with that."
[...he even sticks out his tongue a bit in response.]
"I bet they're all messy-messy too."
no subject
[here we go again.]
"...I don't get it."
[Well. At least she's honest.]
"Hey, I didn't trudge through the snow, either! I was burning through all of it, so I'm actually being helpful, instead of just mooching off my trainer!"
"...What's wrong with mooching off of your trainer, though?" [Oh, right. Vee originally joined for the free food.]
