Week 9.

WEEK 9 The one thing Team Galactic seems to have done right in this world is perfecting teleportation technology. The device Maylene gave Rey will get all of you back to Eterna City easily; from there, it's a matter of very briefly stocking up on supplies on Sunday before you move westward, away from the massive, imposing form of Mount Coronet and into the deep shadows of Eterna Forest. During your brief stay in Eterna City, it's likely that you'll notice a few things have changed, as far as both the people and the Pokémon go; this holds true as you make your preparations and disappear into the forest on Monday. It's heartening, maybe, to know that once again your actions seem to have made a difference; meanwhile, the trip to Lake Verity looks to be a long one, but it isn't entirely insurmountable. The forest itself is large and dark, covered high overhead with a thick canopy of trees; the Pokémon here are plentiful, which likely cuts down on any inherent creepiness to the place - whether that's a good or a bad thing depends entirely on your point of view. Either way, it's going to be quite the adventure trying to make your way through; here's hoping that your luck continues to hold over the coming week... [Demon you may be, good sir, but right now you are this stupid bagworm's favorite person. Look, they even climb inside of the ramen cup and start trying to wander in it, which...just kind of makes 'em look like they're rolling around, but you know what, it's fine.

Camilla is kind of trying not to be amused, really, at both the question and the predicament.]

The poor little thing wandered out after getting attacked by a bunch of those Starly. I couldn't simply let it be when it looked so pathetically weak, so I decided to capture it.

...Of course, I question such a decision now. Seriously, dear, that's filthy.

Oh, it's disgusting. All that weird salty noodle residue.

[Michael rests his chin in his hand to watch this, grinning. This worm is a delight.]

It is, yes; I found it earlier in the day after it had been attacked, so it didn't have much of a chance to make a little cloak for itself. I must admit, it feels as if it's...quite wrong, to see the creature this way.

[Beat.]

And frankly, I should have gotten it some leaves sooner. Now it's never going to want to go near them!

It has a point. I'm not saying a plastic noodle cup is great armor, but it's certainly better than leaves.

Of course, I think they do it for camouflage. [.....] We should give it knives.

...What exactly is it going to hold those knives with?

They would need to be smaller ones, of course, but I could see some use for it. Especially if they roll around to attack. Just imagine what damage that could cause to one of those pesky admin's feet!

It doesn't need to hold them, Camilla. You tape them to the ramen cup. Like a hedgehog, but ten times worse and nowhere near as cute.

...You know, I should ask you for ideas more often. You really do think of the most devilish little things!

[Clearly she's gotta just start stealing knives and stuff, or seeing if stores around town sell any, holy shit. This is quite possibly the worst idea, and she loves it?]

Oh, of course. I'll have to see how small they can go in this world, while maintaining their effectiveness...

[Camilla just kind of rubs her hands together. Oh yes, Saturn's getting his damn feet stabbed--]

Shame about the whole anti-weapons thing. Humans get very creative when you're trying to kill each other. I always liked the more wavy daggers, they don't get stuck in bone like a straight-edged one.

[...hrm. It's funny, but he doesn't really find talk like that entertaining anymore? Not the way he might have once.]

Luckily, there's still plenty of call for knives as utility tools. Should be able to find something.

Oh, really, even from what Jupiter talked about, it sounds like the humans here have had far more time to create such things.

[...Admittedly, she's not sure how she feels about all of that, but hey, the weapons are nice to talk about if nothing else. Let's sidestep.]

I do hope they'll stay small like this for a while, then; they'll get quite a bit of use out of it once it's done.

Could keep the old ones as museum pieces. But that'd require that they have museums.

Some of the bugs do get large, don't they? Those ones can evolve into different things based on their gender, the males all turn into big moths.
