Week 9.

WEEK 9 The one thing Team Galactic seems to have done right in this world is perfecting teleportation technology. The device Maylene gave Rey will get all of you back to Eterna City easily; from there, it's a matter of very briefly stocking up on supplies on Sunday before you move westward, away from the massive, imposing form of Mount Coronet and into the deep shadows of Eterna Forest. During your brief stay in Eterna City, it's likely that you'll notice a few things have changed, as far as both the people and the Pokémon go; this holds true as you make your preparations and disappear into the forest on Monday. It's heartening, maybe, to know that once again your actions seem to have made a difference; meanwhile, the trip to Lake Verity looks to be a long one, but it isn't entirely insurmountable. The forest itself is large and dark, covered high overhead with a thick canopy of trees; the Pokémon here are plentiful, which likely cuts down on any inherent creepiness to the place - whether that's a good or a bad thing depends entirely on your point of view. Either way, it's going to be quite the adventure trying to make your way through; here's hoping that your luck continues to hold over the coming week... Nah. Closest one was probably Quaver, but I just sort of picked him up and carried him away.

[He picks the Chatot up off his shoulder demonstratively. He's a little more wiggly now, but still simple enough to hold around the body.]

Do you think people often accidentally hurt them with the balls? It's a strange way to collect a pet.

I certainly hope not. I haven't really had much practice with them - if it wasn't obvious - but I'm going to assume they don't actually need that much force to activate.

[Let her just trot over and pick up that pokeball. Hmmmm....]

So if I press this button here....

[With a flash, Ralts appears; fortunately, being hit by the pokeball doesn't seem to have hurt it at all.]

Well, that's a relief. I mean, when you think about it, these devices are thoroughly bizarre. Who even came up with this?

They are useful though, aren't they? Shame they don't work on humans.

[Michael just sort of. Reaches into his bag and boops Rey with a Pokeball.]

[...you know for a second there Rey was actually kind of concerned she was going to end up in the pokeball-

But! Obviously she doesn't, and she is now amused.]

Well, at least we've proven they don't work on humans. I'd be a bit worried if they did.

Oh, I'd tested it before.

[That could be interpreted as "of course I would never test this weird technology on you, Rey", but really it just means that he tested it on somebody else previously.]

It could be convenient, though, don't you think? Provided that it's comfortable in there. Just go in the ball, get someone else to carry it wherever you're headed...

Take a nap, that sort of thing? I could definitely be convinced...I wonder what it's like in there?
