Week 10.
WEEK 10 You've found a few new friends this past week, and along with them, a new town to explore. Granted, there doesn't seem to be much, particularly when compared to the cities you started out in; at the same time, the air is fresh with the scent of flowers and honey wafting on the breeze. Along with the usual Pokémon that can be found in populated areas, it seems that several Combees have made their home here - they can be found drifting along idly, seeming no more capable of true emotion than anyone or anything else, but perhaps they're trying their best. It's a little difficult to say; they are still bees, after all. That said, the world continues to change around you, bit by bit; you still have a long way to go before you've saved everyone, but for the time being you should probably recharge, and take some time to sort through what should happen next. Talking to the locals may net you the information that there's something odd about the meadow north of town; perhaps a few of you should go to check it out... POKEMON AVAILABLE: WITHIN CITIES SUNDAY | MONDAY | TUESDAY | WEDNESDAY | THURSDAY | FRIDAY [OOC: Welcome to week ten of Azume; feel free to make as many top levels as you'd like and tag out to other characters! This post is for all of your interactions this week... at least until the weekend.] |

Honestly? You're probably right. But your world sounds fascinating, so I can't say I'd mind hearing another one.
no subject
You wanna hear something I haven't told anyone yet? I'd like it if you didn't tell anyone, though, everyone's got bits and pieces but nobody knows the whole thing.

[...Okay.]
So I told you about how we've got the world-enders that show up sometimes - Ada and her boyfriend were the recent ones, but before them there was another guy that I didn't deal with. He was apparently fucking insane because he was fucked with as a kid. Not as in "beaten", more like Saturn's sort of deal. He got away from it eventually and had a normal life for a while, had a girlfriend and a kid and everything. But the damage was done, I guess, because he decided he hated humans and the planet would be better off without any of 'em on it. So he left his girl and his kid to die in a shithole country and went off and experimented on himself. Made himself into an inhuman monster. Then created a virus that would kill almost everyone on the planet, and the ones that survived would be monsters like him. No more humans. Someone that used to be his...friend, I guess, had to put him down before he could kill everyone.
And that's how my dad tried to end the world.

...I'm really sorry, Jake. That's really messed up.
[To understate it a bit...]
But all the apologies in the world aren't gonna make that any easier, yeah?
no subject
He was fucking insane and needed to be put down. One of those people that just need to die, you know? Because they won't stop until they either win or get killed.
[Like Ragou or Cumore, maybe.]
It's pretty fucked up, though, I guess. I nearly shot the guy that killed him.

[Yuri hesitates for a moment before addressing the last part.]
I think I can kinda get that. Even if you didn't know him, he was still your dad, right? It makes sense that it'd be complicated.

...Apologies aren't going to do anything to help, but I really am sorry you're stuck dealing with this. It sounds like a real pain.
no subject
[...Anyway.]
I'm sure you're not too here for dealing with my problems, though. It's just been on my mind lately, I guess.
no subject
[Both the guy staring at you funny and looking like your absent world-ending dad. Yikes.]
I don't mind listening to stuff like this. Sometimes you've just gotta vent, yeah? Like I said, I'm not gonna spread this sorta thing around or anything, so if you ever need someone to listen, I'm available.
no subject
Yeah. ...Tell me some shit about your world, while we're here.
no subject
...This one's kind of a long story, so you might be here for awhile.
Most of the cities in my world are split between the Empire and the guilds. While they're not at war, tensions have been mounting for a long time. All of us thought that was gonna be the biggest thing we were going to have to worry about. War almost broke out twice now, first because of some falsified letters and later on it was almost a clash between guilds because the leader of one of the guilds died and they blamed the other guild just because an important figure was there at the time, even though he wasn't involved.
[He could get into that, but it's not the thing that's been bugging him since he woke up here.]
War wasn't what we needed to be concerned about, though. Sure, it would've been awful if it happened, but we didn't realize things were about to get a lot worse.
The Commandant of the Imperial Knights - Alexei - decided he was sick of the way things were being run and decided he was going to take control. To do that, he used Estelle's powers to raise a weapon from the depths of the ocean. Said weapon was built a long time ago and more or less forgotten about until he decided he was gonna use it to his advantage.
...What none of us realized was that it wasn't a weapon. We fought him, but in the time it took us to defeat him, he'd gotten the thing working and he fired it off. It broke open a barrier in the sky that was keeping something out.
Long ago there was a threat to everyone and everything in Terca Lumireis called the Adephagos. It consumed aer, which is present everywhere and in everything. The Adephagos isn't like a person or a monster, it exists just to consume aer. It was such a huge threat at the time that the only thing the ancients could do was seal it away, they couldn't hope to kill it or stop it.
So naturally, everyone forgot about this and now it's back and stopping it is gonna be a huge problem.
[...]
All that happened right before I woke up here, so...
[He shrugs a bit, but it's not dismissive. He's been sounding progressively more frustrated with it as he goes and when he trails off and shrugs it seems helpless more than anything else.]
no subject
So between Cyrus, this Alexei guy, and my dad, I'm getting real tired of guys deciding they're sick of shit so they're gonna fuck everybody up. Can we all just agree not to do that from now on? Because not doing that sounds pretty great to me.
[This is how we're dealing with shit today.]
I know you're going to be worried about all that shit, and I don't blame you. But I'm pretty sure your friends aren't going to just leave that shit alone. They'll figure something out.
no subject
Yeah, I know they will. None of 'em are the sort of people who can turn a blind eye to something like that. Not even the old man will, even if he'll complain about it the whole way.
[...]
Things'll probably be taken care of by the time I get back. I know I can trust them with that. It's just... frustrating, I guess. I figured taking out Alexei would be the last of my concerns for awhile. I guess there's always going to be something to worry about.
no subject
...You gonna be okay?
no subject
...Yeah. We've got a lot to worry about here, so it's best just to trust the others for now. Still, the timing really couldn't have been worse...
no subject
no subject
Honestly, this is the first I've told anyone about any of this. It doesn't really feel right to trouble the others with things like this, you know?
no subject
no subject
[He looks like he's trying not to smirk?? Why are you like this, Yuri.]
I'm sure I'll be fine, but again, the timing really couldn't have been worse.
no subject
[...Jake.]
no subject
Apparently! It's not like it was a bad wound or anything, I've had way worse.
