Week 10.

WEEK 10 You've found a few new friends this past week, and along with them, a new town to explore. Granted, there doesn't seem to be much, particularly when compared to the cities you started out in; at the same time, the air is fresh with the scent of flowers and honey wafting on the breeze. Along with the usual Pokémon that can be found in populated areas, it seems that several Combees have made their home here - they can be found drifting along idly, seeming no more capable of true emotion than anyone or anything else, but perhaps they're trying their best. It's a little difficult to say; they are still bees, after all. That said, the world continues to change around you, bit by bit; you still have a long way to go before you've saved everyone, but for the time being you should probably recharge, and take some time to sort through what should happen next. Talking to the locals may net you the information that there's something odd about the meadow north of town; perhaps a few of you should go to check it out... [He looks down at his Wimpod.

One time when we were going through town we ran into a flock of black birds...Murkrow? Anyway, they were all clustered around some food dropped on the ground. They were being pretty protective of it, though I don't think they were going to try to fight us either way.

[Still pretty...blank, all things considered.]

But when we got close enough and they took notice...Chazuke ran away before I could do anything.

Maybe he gets nervous towards birds. To them he could look like some kind of bug.

[And everyone knows bugs don't mesh well with birds, yup]

He may feel better near a Pokemon that isn't a bird.

I hadn't thought of that, actually...

[He'd just assumed he was probably going to react like that to...pretty much anything. Which, really, he can't blame him all that much. He'd rather not have to fight things too in a perfect world.]

Have you guys been having to fight wild Pokemon a lot?

Before we used to seek them to train our Pokemon by fighting them. Lately they're starting to get daring and search for fights by approaching us.

[Well, not exactly, but Kiryu so far has interpreted they approaching as fighting intent -- because he's always eager for a good battle]

[Oh that's...not great to hear.]

So what you're saying is...

[Atsushi casts Chazuke a weak look despite knowing the Wimpod isn't paying him any attention right now.]

Chazuke is going to have to learn how to fight before we leave.

That may be necessary. No pressure, though. [Chazuke may not be in as much danger as it sounds, yup] It's better to do it at Chazuke's pace. Nothing wrong if he doesn't want to fight.

[Technically, nothing's stopping Atsushi from getting Chazuke back into his Pokeball and running away. Wild Pokemon sure aren't going to chase him!]

Hmm...I'm not sure how much progress we'll make, but I'll see what we can do. Maybe we can get some pointers from you guys, or something.

[He feels kinda like a slacker for not training the whole month he's been here, but...he never thought he'd need to.

Plus he...still isn't sure that Chazuke can really even DO anything.]
